. Room 438 is the one we were assigned, and due to exhaustion from traveling we didn’t ask for a room change. For future reference and future customers: -We had ONE set of towels and there were two of us -There was a brown stain on the comforter, thankfully that was the only one we saw on the bedding. -The water in the shower took a full 6 minutes to warm up enough to get in it -The lamps that were supposed to be on the bedside tables weren’t there -“Bathroom” tile grout was disgustingly & the spackle on the “painted wall” by the sink was unpleasant -No garbage can liner was found -The “ceiling tiles” in the bedroom area looked like they were ready to collapse at any time -The outlet on the left side of the bed (if you are facing the bed) overheated and sparked when i tried to charge my phone -Netflix did not work on tv -Room smelled very musty and the air was stagnant -Carpet in the hallway as well as in the room was stained and dirty Basically, the thing we paid for was the location of the hotel as well as a $50 pet fee for a service animal. The area was beautiful, the hotel was not. As a faithful aloft customer since 2016, I was extremely disappointed in this one. I was thrilled to get to share my love of aloft with my husband, and usually I stay at the one in Omaha, Nebraska, but we decided to drive a little further and settled on the one in Leawood. I cannot speak for the other rooms in the hotel, but 438 is definitely in need of some attention.

The hotel is in a great area for shopping and dining. The hotel itself is getting a little tired in some areas. Overall, its clean and you feel safe in the area and parking is free.

Hotel was on great area and cool lobby and common areas. Room was not nice. The wall paper paste is leaking through the paper. The carpet and tile was dirty and worn. The ceiling looked like it had been patched like 10 times and not by a professional. The blinds did not work so we were in a room virtually without windows. Nasty room. They said they did. It have another room to give me…probably would have been the same? Mirror in bathroom was scratched and the pain on the walls (that were not papered) we all marred up. Quality Assurance is greatly needed in this hotel.

Inviting But Disappointing

This is an inviting place to stay. Unfortunately, the rooms are worn. Our mattress was abysmally hard. The hanging door to the bathroom was off the tracks, so it could not be closed and was borderline dangerous. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the area is great, with lots of places to eat and shop. But unless the rooms are upgraded, we won't return.

The room was clean enough. There seems to be plumbing issues as the toilet and sink had issues. The light in the shower didn't work. Bed was fairly comfortable enough for one night. The decor felt more like a college dorm room. Again, decent enough for one night.

Horrible service from front desk person Annie. Disrespectful to guests and refused to acknowledge uncleanliness of the room she saw spiders in and a broken door. No hot water. The hotel is a mess. Don’t stay here.
