PROS: the staff was very nice. There were only two women and they are assets to the property. The windows kept out the noise from the highway traffic. The room was clean with the exception of dust and a receipt under the bed. CONS: The front had so many cigarette butts and spit stains on the concrete. The trash can was full and overflowing at 2pm. The front door was dirty and the small check-in area smelled. There were no amenities, no coffee pot in the room and just vending machines. The toilet would only fill up half-way, resulting in multiple flushes.

WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Mission is definitely a very basic hotel without the amenities of most hotels. But it's perfect if you're just looking for a comfy bed, kitchenette, and a shower. For those reasons, plus the wonderful staff and insanely great price, I would recommend this hotel. My stay lasted a week or more, as I kept having to extend it, and included my two small dogs. We just needed a place to stay while I was in-between moves. My only requirements were that the hotel must be cheap and safe, allow two dogs, and have a decent rating. This fit the bill perfectly. The only thing that would have made it better would have been curtains over the blinds instead of just blinds. I would recommend this hotel for the budget conscious or those coming to Kansas City for work who just need a comfy place to sleep and nothing more.

The hotel was terrible, the staff was terrible, and music started playing at night, but I couldn't do anything because I didn't understand which room it was playing in. I was told to call the reception in such cases. The situation repeated itself, at 5:24 a.m. the music started playing again, I tried to contact the staff, no one answered me. If you are looking for a quiet place, I do not recommend it, you will not sleep here.

There was no soap in the bathroom and there isn't even an ice machine in the entire building. The staff was Inattentive and rude and I didn’t feel like they cared if I used that facility or not. The bed was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had a microwave and fridge but that’s it. You can definately stay there and it's decent, but bring your own soap and shampoo and fill the ice cube trays in the fridge as soon as you arrive because they don't bother to fill them when they clean the room ahead of your booking. No toaster or coffee pots provided. Air conditioning was adequate but I was disappointed in this facility.

Staff is nice, and hotel feels very safe. Bed was comfortable. Not a lot of storage space for long term. Basic with small kitchen, but clean enough.
