About this space
Retreat to East Texas most sought after water paradise! On the banks of Big Four Slough with waterway access to the Majestic Caddo Lake, this two story 2640 sq ft 5 bedroom, 2 bath sits under giant oak trees in heavenly seclusion. Take off from the pier with a covered boat dock to fish or just explore Texas' only natural lake, largest cypress forest in the world.
The space
All the rooms are very spacious, the house is very comfortable and has everything you need. Lots of privacy outside, amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere.
Guest access
Parking is not an issue at all on this large lot and covered parking.
Other things to note
Holiday Weekends are a minimum of three nights.

Awesome place for a large gathering!! It's a house that keeps giving, space wise. Beds and pillows are super comfy, love the outdoor space and excellent proximity to the state park. The only negative was we had to mop the floors when we arrived. Highly recommend and we will be back!!

Unfortunately the prior guests smoked hundreds of cigarettes, just outside, but the place still smelled smokey. In addition, the area is pretty junky with stray dogs in neighborhood. Probably a great ‘fishing camp’ type rental. But we had to cut our trip short as many family members couldn’t bear the smell. Hostess didn’t offer any solution but was otherwise responsive.

House was huge with tons of beds! It was very accommodating. Had a warm, homey feeling where we all felt welcomed. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. Very much loved the scenic views on the slough, and not very far at all from the canal where we had fun boating and looking at the beautiful cypress moss. Would definitely stay here again.

Getting to the house was quite easy - not far off the highway. Once you get there, it is so quiet and peaceful! It is an older home so not a lot of "fluff" to WOW you (everything that was needed was there), but having all the bedrooms and beds for us all was a HUGE asset! There were 11 of us and plenty of room to spread out. Sitting out on the deck in the evening was nice. Even with 2 young boys there was still plenty of room to find a quiet place to sit and enjoy the stillness.If we have to opportunity to go back to Karnack, I will definitely see if this house is available again.

Good location and easy access to the bayou

Overall it’s a good stay, great location and really easy access to the water, we love that! The host is great with quick response to our questions. While the house has some minor issues like missing some light bulbs here and there, not enough seats for the dinning table upstairs and ext. but overall it’s good.
