Luxury Kalkan Villa With 2 Pools and Guest House Perfect for Friends or Families
Yavuz Evi is a stone built property is located in the Kördere area of Kalkan, up the hill but less than a 10 minute drive from the centre of Kalkan. Kördere is rural with scattered villas and farmhouses set in abundant olive groves in the foothills of the Taurus mountains. The area is quiet and peaceful; it feels very much more spacious than the coastal locations and there are spectacular panoramic sea and mountain views and of course, it is the perfect setting for watching the spectacular sunset with a glass of something! Thereâs always a cool mountain breeze which makes alfresco living very comfortable.
Yavuz Evi has recently undergone a transformation and features two separate buildings, Yavuz Main House and Yavuz Guest House, each has itsâ own terrace and swimming pool, this arrangement is perfect for multi-generational families or friends.
Yavuz Main House, at the higher level is a traditionally styled modern built farmhouse. The pretty pale stone is complemented by the dark wood of the Ottoman style balconies. The house is surrounded by massive sandstone terraces where there is a delightful swimming pool, sunbeds, shades and a huge shaded day bed looking out over the slopes with their olive trees towards the spectacular Kalkan Bay. The view is truly amazing. The interior of this imposing and substantial stone house is open and spacious, thick stone walls keep it cool. Any kitchen tasks will invite plenty of company as there are wide divans, made for lounging with a strong Turkish Coffee in hand. The upper level gallery looks down to the lower floor.
The Yavuz Guest House has been newly built in the lower level of the garden â it has a completely independent entrance but with steps up to the Yavuz Main House terrace. The building style echoes that of Yavuz Main House with pale honey coloured stone but it has a much more contemporary feel, itâs very light and bright. Huge glass door open onto the terrace with mosaic tiled private pool and there are once again, fantastic views to Kalkan Bay. Turn around and the huge Taurus Mountains are just as spectacular.
Using both Yavuz Main House and Yavuz Guest House and with the addition of 2 extra beds up to 10 guests can be accommodated. Early and later in the season, to suit the needs of smaller parties, Yavuz Main House and Yavuz Guest House are available as independent units and would suit couples enjoying a spacious environment.
We loved the Villa - location, view, pools, rooms, amenities all excellent. Access to Kalkan easy and Ridvan the property manager was brilliant and responsive. I would definitely recommend and would easily stay again
We loved this villa, absolutely perfect for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. The villas are beautifully maintained, with all you could wish for. Clean and bright with excellent a/c! The location is fantastic, quiet, with splendid views across the olive orchards to the sea and mountains. The pools are perfectly maintained and the gardens a joy, with flowers, olives trees, and grape vines. Outside living is perfect here, with bbq, shadey areas to sit and sun loungers to enjoy, all with fabulous views. The staff were super, meeting us on arrival, providing bread in the mornings and washing down the pool areas each day. Any question was quickly answered via text.Kalkan is only 5 mins in the car - so easy to reach the lively cafes and shops. And then retreat to the peace of the villas!!I would definitely recommend this villa, abiding memories are of space, quiet, sparkling pools and stunning views.
We had a lovely relaxing two week family holiday at this very spacious accommodation. The accommodation comprised of the main Ottoman style house with pool and spacious surround with ample seating and loungers and a second smaller two bedroomed villa with pool on the lower level. Both pools were a great size and exceptionally clean. The property is ideal for a grown up family wanting a bit of space or two families holidaying together. The property was very clean and the outside areas were washed down daily. The housekeeper even cleaned the bbq whenever we used it before we had got up in the mornings!! We walked out on to our veranda each day to find two fresh loaves had been delivered! Whenever we needed a water refill for the dispenser Ridvan, the property manager, arranged for a delivery. Any queries were always dealt with very speedily. We felt very well looked after. I usually book my holidays early in the year but due to family circumstances this was a last minute booking and as the last review on vrbo was in 2018 I was a little apprehensive. The area was probably a little more built up than I would have chosen and the garden furniture was a little mismatched and could possibly do with being updated but other than that it was a great find!
Weâve just returned from a two week stay at Yavuz Evi and I must say itâs been one of the best places weâve ever stayed on holiday. The Villa consists of the larger main house with two good sized bedrooms both with on suite, a living room and a large kitchen area. There is access to a top roof terrace with views across the Kalkan bay.
The second property is set below the huge terrace area and again has two bedrooms with on suite, itâs own kitchen and living room.
Both properties have kitchens with all the facilities needed to make your stay as easy as possible.( oven/hob/dishwasher/washing machine / microwave, even an ice making machine)
The property comes alive once outside as it has a terrace for each house both with their own pools. ( We spent most of our time on the main terrace but had early swims in the lower pool which catches the morning sun)
The main terrace itself is fabulous and has stunning views across the bay. Watching sunset with a glass of wine early evening was a highlight for us. Thereâs also a barbecue which we used several times and then ate our meal in the outside dining area under the stars.
We didnât hire a car so used a local Taxi regularly ( Hello Ayhan if youâre reading this! ). Trips into Kalkan are easy and around 5 to 10mins.
Iâll leave other reviews to describe Kalkan but I would say itâs our favourite holiday destination.
The property caretaker Selahtin came each morning to maintain the outside including cleaning the bbq . (Best of all was the fresh loaf he delivered each day!) Zeynep cleaned inside . A lovely couple and not at all intrusive.
To sum up Yavuz Evi is a stunning Villa set in the hills above the beautiful Kalkan. There are plenty of beach clubs around the bay and the most wonderful restaurants etc.
Take your choice each day , time at the pool or at the sea then either a moonlit bbq or a superb meal on a rooftop terrace!
Wonderful place, try it and youâll be back every year!
The property was found to be as described on the site and all was perfect from arrival and throughout our stay. The views are amazing, the area so quiet and the pool refreshing. The Villa had everything you needed for your stay.
We were really grateful for the welcome pack of essentials which had all you needed to revive you after the journey, including water, wine, beer and milk! The teabags we brought with us!
The daily delivery of bread was unexpected and was a lovely touch.
The outside area, the pool and plants were maintained each day by a lovely gentleman.
Halfway through the stay the villa was lightly cleaned and towels and bedding refreshed.
Kalkan itself was fantastic with so much to do and see, restaurants and bars and fabulous boat trips. All in all we had a great time and hope to return next year.
