Extremely unprofessional and poor management
We booked a "Newly Renovated 2 Bedroom Cabin" as what was shown on Vrbo and drove 170 kms to get there. When we walked in, the attached photos showed what we saw. Then, the owner came saying that "it was nothing" and they knew how to handle this. The solution they proposed was for them to take 15 minutes to clean the mess up. Yes, it might be sufficient to remove all the trash and construction equipment off the floor. What about the uncovered furniture and kitchen cabinets that were covered with dust? My child is allergic to dust so we had to turn around and drive another 170 kms to go back home. We did get the refund, but what about driving back and forth for nothing and our ruined long weekend plan? Zero compensation from the owner. Quite opposite, the owner accused us of having a bad attitude, since we didn't get our expectation right for staying at a cabin. We book cabins every summer and this is the first time we encountered such a ridiculous experience.
