Fantastic house on the waterfront with direct access to the sea, in Koundouros

Kea, also known as Tzia, is one of the closest islands to Athens. There are 3 to 4 ferry boats going to and from the Island every day. As there are few hotels on the island, mostly private homes are rented out in the summer months. Most of these homes are built from local stone, giving Kea its unique architecture. Kea a holiday to remember!

This charming house, is part of a small and private development (7 houses), traditionally built with local-rusted colored stone, all located on the top of the rocky bay of Koundouros, surrounded by rich greenery. It is the heart of the very unique windmill scenery of Koundouros Bay. The house is ideal for three couples, or a family with children who want tranquility and direct access to the sea, whilst having the possibility to explore the island’s history (archeological museum, ancient temple ruins, ancient footpaths), hidden beaches and rich nature (royal oak forest). The house is walking distance from the pebble beach of the bay and from the crystal blue waters just below the house.

The property has been tastefully and stylishly decorated giving one a feeling of peace and tranquility. The house is on two levels. The upper level has a living room, which has a large corner sofa and dining area open directly on to the terrace with its breathtaking view of the Aegean. Near the dining area is a fully equipped open-plan kitchen with all the amenities one might need. Leading off the living room is the master bedroom with a king size bed and an amazing sea view, a second bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with a shower.

Outside the living room is a large terrace offering an amazing sea view. You can sit on one of the deck chairs and hear the waves gently breaking on the rocks below. Part of the terrace is covered by a pergola, covering the outdoor dining area and barbecue area. At the end of the terrace are steps leading to the lower level and private access to the sea.

The lower level, which is independent of the upper level, has a cozy living room with a large comfortable sofa, a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with a shower.

Outside there is a large terrace with an amazing sea view (sunny all day) and direct access to the sea below (rock platform). One large stone sofa for 8 people with comfortable white pillows, one large umbrella for 6 people , one external shower.

With a 10 minute walk you can get to the sandy beaches of Koundouros with umbrellas, water sports activities, beach bar and a restaurant. The small tavernas are a few minutes away by car or 15 minutes walking . The ideal getaway for your summer Holiday !!

Amenities; Internet, air-conditioning, mosquito blinds, 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, hobs, dishwasher (top level), washing machine, toaster, sandwich maker, 2 coffee filter machines, 2 kettles, parking, BBQ, private access to the sea, umbrella and beach chairs on the rock platform below.
