The local tavernas, we ate at three, within very easy walking distance were excellent. We were a group of 4 friends, and we loved Antigoni Villa and Remetzo Village. The setting/view is lovely, and the space easily accommodated the 4 of us. We enjoyed being on the less populated side of the island, yet an easy ferry ride from Lixouri to Argostoli, and back again.Our trusty VW Skoda (from RentCarKefalonis) took us all over the west side of the island: Myrtos, Assos, Petanoi, Fiskardo, Sami. There are lovely beaches not far from the Villa--we liked Megas Lakos for it's soft sand, and Lagadakia for the little sea caves and secluded setting.The staff was wonderful, especially our host and our waiter at the Remetzo Tavern. They were so kind and hospitable, and the afood was delicious!
