We loved the quaintness of the rooms and hotel. The area is fun to walk and see the old and new of Kenosha. The shampoo and shower gel was Beekman and oh so heavenly! The room felt damp though; maybe due to an unfinished ceiling.

Almost There

This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. I would have rated it a 5, but unfortunately there were a few issues. The refrigerator didn’t work, and it wasnt fixed even after we brought it to staff's attention. Also, the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty, and the body wash was nearly empty. And the in room coffee is not good. There were many plusses: the rooftop terrace where we listened to live music, the ice cream shop across the street, the dinosaur museum a couple blocks away. The hotel restaurants did not disappoint and they were reasonably priced. The cafe offers a $7 soup and salad bar which included a delicious clam chowder, and the restaurant provided a large selection of seafood dishes on Friday.

The Stella is a hidden gym and I would actually travel to Kenosha to spend a quiet couple of nights at this hotel. The rooms are amazing. They have a great rooftop bar. There’s dining and a coffee bar in the morning. Staff is professional. This hotel was definitely the cherry on the cake of my business trip!

Nice but needs maintenance

It is a beautiful hotel, Very clean and friendly. However the corner baseboard fell off, the handle on the shower came off and the toilet was installed with out a lid. Maintenance fixed the shower door handle immediately and put in an work order for the baseboard. The lack of a toilet lid is gross. Every time a toilet without a lid is flushed, micro bits of dirty water will disperse. Whoever decided to install toilets like that are ignorant of the hygienic impact to the bathroom environment.

Reasonable price. It's in walking distance to the harbor and various eateries such as the ice cream parlor across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends visiting downtown Kenosha.

Property is clean and convenient to walk to restaurants and shops. Do not expect your room a minute before the 4:00 check in. The hotel is very nice and updated. The room was nice but hard to sleep due to noisy (rattled all night) air conditioner. Also, the smoke detector has an obnoxious flashing light all night long. If you like total darkness to sleep you are in trouble as the flashing light lights up the room.

There is not hotel parking at all! Your options are across the street at the very busy ice cream shop, or, across the other street at the church parking lot. Neither are that far. However, if you have any bags, either parking lot are not that close or convenient! The front desk staff does not know the rules of the city as far as parking- even though they tell you to park at the places already mentioned. For a high priced hotel, it was a surprising disappointment.
