We mostly stay at this location because it’s convenient and there’s a wonderful bar across the street. The property itself is fine, not the greatest, but for the price it’s appropriate.

We checked in 45 minutes early and they allowed us early check in. The only thing is that the tissue box was empty and toilet paper roll was almost empty when we got in.

The front desk gal was rude—we were an inconvenience to her at check-in. We opened the door to our room and were immediately assaulted by the overpowering smell of body odor. We walked back to the front desk and asked for a new room. The same front desk person rolled her eyes and begrudgingly gave us a new room—never a hint of embarrassment or just a basic apology. It’s a great location for parents with kids at Carthage, but never again.

Large clean room, cleanliness,quiet, friendly helpful, knowledgeable staff, functional room layout, sufficient climate control for heating and cooling. I am not sure if the bath tub plug is working to take a bath.

It was a place to stay

The view from our room was very nice. The atmosphere was nice. We really enjoyed the band that evening. The room itself, especially the bathroom, needs renovation. The lighted mirror did not work, and the towel rack fell off the wall, scaring us. The threshold at the entrance of the room was missing. I tripped twice entering the room. I let the front desk know about this before we left. Beds were comfortable. The rooms could have been cleaner. Breakfast was fairly good. They needed to do a better job of keeping the coffee pot filled.

The hotel was very nice. We went out of our way in the way home from Michigan to eat at a bar we had great memories of eating at roughly 25 years ago. To our surprise this hotel was within walking distance. It is also not far from the beach of the lake. The only complaint I had, which I have with most hotels is that they need to give you an extra bath towel for your hair. I don't like to dry my hair with the same towel as my body, especially when they want to conserve water, by not giving clean towels every day

The staff people were so kind and helpful that I easily found all the amenities. The pool area was especially soothing -- loved it. The front desk people were especially gracious. The music was great too. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Ants invaded our last morning over 20min. Local fishermen take all the parking close to the entry door so that paying guests as forced to park in the north lots on the other side of the building. They also came and left during the night , hitting car alarms at 3am. One beep is nothing , this was full honking at 3am Breakfast, go elsewhere especially if you have any dietary restrictions, zero low carb options and no forks? Try pancakes with a spoon. We paid extra for lakeside and the view was spectatular. Cant say that about too many other points.
