Stay IN TOWN at a cozy French Alpine Ski Chalet

We look forward to making you feel at home in our completely remodeled 3BR/2BA condo that uses elegant European furnishings and tasteful Alpine architectural details that set off the beautiful mature trees facing the living room. The soft honey-colored Fir/Larch wood paneling seen throughout the house and the wide-plank bleached pine wood floors give you a cozy mountain chalet feel while letting in the bright sunlight so famous for Sun Valley.

We offer a self-check-in. A week out from your arrival, I will send you instructions and a code for the keyless door. Check-in is after 3:00 pm, and check-out is at 10:00 am.

Our upstairs cozy master suite with an ensuite bath/shower offers soft wood paneling, pine floors, and sophisticated blackout drapes. A 55 wall-mounted LG smart HDTV can be viewed from your queen-size Euro pillow top bed. A portable AC unit and a ceiling fan are provided during the summer.

Downstairs is a twin-bed guest room wrapped in red French toile wallpaper and matching blackout curtains. Our second twin bedroom is an Alpine, charming, built-in wood-paneled children's bunk bedroom with blackout curtains. Fans are provided for downstairs bedrooms during the summer months.

The downstairs bathroom has an ample, modern glassed-in shower area with a large hydro-massaging shower head, a custom-built-in sink with an Italian white marble countertop. There is also a functional laundry closet equipped with a large stack Bosch washer and dryer.

The kitchen is compact but well-equipped. There is a five-burner gas stove, a complete set of gourmet All-Clad pots, a microwave, a dishwasher, full dinner service for 12, and a Nespresso coffee maker.

The living room is a cozy, well-appointed room with a dining and seating area. A backlit built-in bookcase has a 42-inch wall-mounted swiveling Smart LG and iPhone dock speaker (good for most devices).

Additional amenities include a 570-square-foot wrap-around deck with Adirondack seating and a dining table for up to 5. The noise ordinance for Ketchum is quiet from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

We also offer a heated storage room with a private locker for ski equipment and an outside bike area.

While we pride ourselves on the quality of our interiors, we recognize that our condo building, built way back in the 1970s, needs upgrades. This year, the HOA put up a new dark grey metal roof. Our next HOA project is to give TLC to the exterior. Please excuse the look of our outside until it is finished.

Please disregard the one star for skiing experience as our stay was not in ski season, but there was no N/A response available and a response was required. The French Alpine Ski Chalet was clean, cozy, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The condo had ample parking for our cars and was well provisioned for a comfortable stay in easy walking distance of any place in town. We were able to cook meals easily with the tools provided, and had two coffeemaker choices! We would love to stay here again any time of year!!

Sun Valley ski stay Feb 1st-6th

Had a wonderful stay at this condo. It was incredibly charming and clearly intentional in guest comfort. We had everything we needed and the location was perfect with easy walking distance to cafes, shops, and restaurants in Ketchum and short drive to the mountain. Hope to visit again!

French Chateau in Sun Valley

We stayed a week and the place was wonderful. It was fully renovated and impeccably clean. The location was perfect for us in that we were there for a wedding and were close to the hotel where most of our friends and family stayed and also walking distance to town center and near Bald Mountain. It was a great experience.

Yearly Ski Trips.... Awesome Location & So Comfy

We got married skiing 15+ years ago and have planned ski trips with groups ever since. We had 5 Adults and this was perfect. Great views of River Run, walk to everything in town, great details, amenities and well stocked kitchen. Notes were thorough on how to utilize everything (rarity). It's a cozy condo, can't really fit more than 2 in the kitchen at a time but we loved it. We had some small hiccups but the Owner & Property Manager were very accommodating and got back to us right away. Had to do with snow....18" overbite on day 1...which was the best day of skiing on the whole trip so definitely not complaining. Would definitely VRBO this unit again!! Hope to be back soon :)

Great stay at Sun Valley

What a fantastic stay in a wonderful condo. Everything about Sun Valley was truly special including the stay in this condo. It is perfectly located for easy access to the slopes and the town. I highly recommend a stay here.

Quaint and Quirky

Well decorated but dimly lit. Great location to town, but a bit to far to walk to slopes (with gear). Wrap around balcony, but given specific instructions not to use the balcony in the winter. Nice fireplace, but told not to use ( and when operational it required extra $35 cleaning fee and bring your own fire wood). Beautiful wood floors that were very creaky. Rooms are cute but small (can’t stand up in upstairs shower). Carpet runners warmed the place up, but downstairs bathroom carpet with bleach stains. VRBO directions say East River and owner directions say West. Info says sleeps 6, but instructions from owner said the top bunk was “broken.” That said, I would stay again, but first, I would look for other options.

Condominium is part of a small 2 building group that needs maintenance outside. However, once inside, the owner has done a wonderful job decorating and making it comfortable and well-equipped.

The pictures are accurate: this is a clean, quiet, beautiful, well appointed rental! The wrap-around deck among the trees was a favorite place to relax. We will be coming back!

Lovely cozy condo

This well located condo is very well supplied and clean. It is probably best for a couple or small family because it is small and only has one comfortable shower. The second shower has a very low ceiling and not comfortable for adults (we are a tall family). Despite the tiny shower and cozy quarters, we loved it and would welcome another chance to stay there.

Cozy

This worked out well for us and it was handy to be able to walk into town. The living area is very nice and the kitchen was generally well-equipped, though a coffee-maker would have been useful. The two downstairs bedrooms are adequate, but the bunk beds are a tight fit for anyone over 6' tall. Very hot during our stay and some fans for the bedrooms would have been much appreciated as they are not well-ventilated. In all, however, a most pleasant stay.

We had a lovely experience at this property! It is spotless, well-decorated, and the location can’t be beat. Communication was excellent. We did find the master a bit warm for sleeping but bought a fan and the problem was quickly solved. And we left it for the next guest. Cannot wait to return!

We had a wonderful week in the Ketchum area. The property was clean and cozy, great location for walking downtown and to River Run. The kitchen is well equipped. The condo was a great size for our group of five. The ski/gear storage locker was nice to have.
