Beautifully upgraded condo with in-unit laundry

Kihei Akahi B102 is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo located on the ground floor featuring easy access to the resort grounds, a new split A/C unit in all spaces, and tile flooring throughout. Unit B102 can accommodate up to 4 guests. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, flat screen TV (with cable), and an en suite bathroom with private walk-in shower and toilet. The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed and bunk beds (2 twin-size beds). The guest bathroom is equipped with another shower and single-sink vanity. In the living room you will find a couch that converts to a queen-size sofa bed and a dining table set for 6 guests (extra table leaf available at condo). Take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and enjoy meals at home. Enjoy garden views and the scent of plumerias from your private lanai with table seating for four.

Throughout 2024, the owners have thoughtfully upgraded this condo with updated furniture linens, and bedding. The condo amenities include an in-unit washer/dryer. There is a flat screen TV with cable located both in the living room and master bedroom.

*Kihei Akahi has a $25 Guest Registration Fee ($35 after November 1, 2025) that will be charged at booking. An additional vehicle will cost $5 per day.

The resort boasts 2 pools, tennis courts, and barbecue areas. Resort quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am; greenbelt areas are available for family use, though playing with toys like balls is recommended at the nearby beach park. Pool toys are allowed for assisted swimming. The property is also conveniently located near numerous restaurants, shops, golf courses, and other top beaches, such as Wailea and Makena Beach.

This condo was perfect for our stay in Kihei. It was well supplied with towels, full kitchen and beach equipment. The property managers were easy to get in touch with and pleasant. The owners and property managers supplied us with lots of information about the condo and where to find things. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and to our vehicle. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was nice to have separate heat pumps/AC in each bedroom and living room, and ceiling fans, so you could control each space very easily. This accommodation definitely checked all the boxes for us!

Beautiful 9 days in Maui. Prime Kihei location...steps from the Kamamole Beach II. The condo worked for my familes need during our stay. Aside from some plumbing issues (not related to the condo...but rather the sewage line), we were happy with our stay.

Lovely condo for family vacation

We were a party of 8, including 2 children, and this condo was perfect for our Maui vacation. The backyard area, pool, parking, proximity to the beaches and stores-- everything was convenient and perfect. The premises were also organized, clean & well-maintained. Highly recommended!

Great Location Plenty of Room

We were pleasantly surprised by the convenience of the location and the quiet, smooth and easy access to the room. We had 6 adults and planned on using all the beds including the bunk bed. There was plenty of room and the condo provided us with privacy because the bathrooms are located outside of the master and additional rooms making it easy for everyone to have separate access to the vanity and sink while the shower and toilet were occupied. Maybe this is not a big deal to some but with 5 women it was perfect. I only gave it four stars for cleanliness because I felt like it could have used a good scrubbing on baseboards and in tight areas...that's just something Im picky about. The other minor thing was that the bunk beds would probably be great for young people with healthy hips and back but the mattresses are very firm and we ended up trading each other nights on them because as adults it was uncomfortable. Not a deal breaker at all, just maybe don't plan on using the bunkbeds (even as roomy as they were) for adults. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and feel that the property was a huge WIN!

Great condo in perfect location

A great choice for a stay in Kihei. The condo was very clean on arrival, had plenty of towels including beach towels and the kitchen is well equipped for making your own meals. The BBQs in the pool areas are very clean and well maintained. There were 7 of us and we were very comfortable. Having the ground floor apartment felt like we had more space too.. the beach is right across the road and the condo has a beach trolley and plenty of beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards too.

Location location location!

Our annual Maui vacation was absolutely amazing! The sun, surf, and sand was perfect! What made it even better was our 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo! We loved the beach/coastal theme it had. It really made it feel like home. And I can’t forget about the AC! It made the condo so breezy and just the right temperature after a long day on the beach. And my favorite part was the lanai leading to the garden. It was so pretty and relaxing—the way I could see the sunset and how it was a short walk to the pool and beach. I can’t wait to stay here again next year!

An almost perfect stay

This condo had everything our group of 8 needed. The kids enjoyed sleeping in bunk beds and used the boogie boards and sand toys provided daily. The adults loved the ground floor lanai where we spent every morning with our coffee. Unfortunately, I would not book this condo again. It seemed like many of the residents lived at the complex and they were not friendly. The kids couldn’t jump, splash or make noise in the pool. Quiet time is 10pm but we got 2 noise complaints, one at 630pm and another one a different day at 730pm when we were watching a movie with the kids. If you are travelling with kids, I would consider a more family friendly complex.

We felt like we were at home. Nice place, beautiful decorations and also had stuff for the beach(chairs, umbrellas ice chest and more!) We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Maui!

Great location but unwelcoming neighbors

The condo was as expected from the listing and was a very short walk to the beach and nearby restaurants and shops. Our main complaint was that the community wasn’t as friendly towards renters and families in our experience. It seems to be an older community that didn’t love the idea of kids playing or even using the pool which made us a little uncomfortable the whole stay. We also had some issues with parking and checkin. For a condo marketed for up to 8 people, we were surprised to be charged for an extra parking spot and the visitor spots were extremely limited so it was a struggle to find parking.

Great location

Location was perfect. Beach is right across the street and there were several restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Beach was even frequented by sea turtles which my 3 year old loved. Unit was more then enough for five adults and two kids. Liked that the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and everything you need to easily cook meals.

Amazing Unit and Location but Hodgepodge

The location is amazing. Literally across the street from the beech. This unit was on the first floor and my handicap mother could access it. The property was stocked with beach toys, chairs, and more. It also had plenty of dishes, random seasonings, etc. It worked perfectly for us. With that being said, it was a little hodgepodge. The pool/beach towels and tupperware were all different types and mismatched. So were the beach toys. There was cabinet of random food people had left behind. If you don't mind that, then it is a great unit.

The rental office is not accessible after 4:30p which made things vey inconveniencing. No help after those hours. Unable to get access code for 24 hours post arrival. Kept receiving generic text messages post texting the site given. Security had no knowledge of getting the info needed to access the property ... once rental property open the next day all contacts were made and access code was received... stay was ok following the 24 hours after arriving. Had to spend additional fees to stay overnight at a hotel...will mot use use Vrbo again...communication could have been better..... Overall condo nice

Underwhelming and overpriced.

The best part of this condo is the location. I liked being on the ground floor with the lawn off the lanai. It was walking distance to the beaches nearby, shops and restaurants. The air conditioning was fantastic in every room. We didn’t love the condo. When we first arrived, there were no front door keys as described in the listing. I had to contact the property manager who resolved the issue the next day. There were a lot of little irritating things that added up over our two week stay. The couch cushions slid off constantly, the table was wobbly, the outdoor solar lanai lights didn’t work, the closets and dressers were stuffed with extra pillows and linens leaving little rooms for luggage storage and the toy storage closet was a disaster. I had to reorganize it from the previous guests. The queen bed in the guest room wasn’t made and the bunks weren’t dressed with top sheets, only bottoms. The screen door to the lanai was extremely squeaky and did not close easily. Some of the dishes were left less than ideal in cleanliness. The kitchen cupboards were nicely labeled and organized but all full but one! We didn’t have a nice place to put our food so we had to leave it on the counter. I don’t mean to be hyper critical but I have stayed in Kihei at different condos and this has been my least favorite. I understand we were there during peak travel times but for how much we paid, I expected a bit nicer accommodations. Unfortunately in the yard, there was a construction crew digging a trench during our first week stay. I was surprised the condo association would allow that type of activity during peak travel season. The pool was fine but only allowed 8 chairs at a time. They were usually all full when we attempted to go to the pool. This was due to covid regulations so hopefully that will end soon! I hope my review helps!

Great location

We loved that the grandchildren could play on the lawn whilst we sat on the lanai. We did have issues with the washer and dryer that they did try to deal with, unfortunately they were unable to get the washer working whilst we were there.However they did supply us with drying racks. Over all we enjoyed the property but had to cut our time short due to the coronavirus.

Great family unit!

We loved our stay in this unit! The management company provided fantastic customer service 😊 They were friendly and promptly replied to all our questions and needs both before and during the trip. The location was ideal as it is directly across the street from a great family friendly beach. It is also within walking distance of everything we needed (including cinnamon buns! Yumm!). The unit is in an older complex but it is was tidy and well maintained. There were maintenance and grounds people around regularly. We lost water for a couple of hours but the management company was quick to contact the complex and the water was back on when they said it would be. The walk out lanai was great for drying off and de-sanding after the beach and the kids loved to play in the grassy area with other vacationing kids. I’m not sure how the other owners felt about them playing in there, but, as long we didn’t have balls/projectile toys and kept to quiet hours (10pm-8am) nobody complained. The pool (we only used one of the two in the complex) was a much appreciated activity in the afternoons. Be aware that these pools are no jumping/splashing areas so keep your kids well supervised. The unit itself was comfortable, clean, and well stocked with complimentary dishsoap, dishwasher and washing machine soap. The appliances were newer and the knives were even sharp! It was definitely a tight fit with our party of 8 (2 seniors, 3 adults and 3 kids ages 3, 7, 9) but they provided drawers in both rooms, luggage racks, lots of hooks and there was closet space in the master bedroom. The cherry on top was the beach toys! There were sand toys, beach bags, 3 boogies boards, 3 beach chairs, 2 mats, 2 beach umbrellas etc. There was also a drawer full of games. We would definitely recommend this unit!
