Great location. Sort of central to everything we were doing. Tour service (Coalette) was super helpful. On site massage (Massage Maui) was great! Dinas was great for a quick bite. The scenes was just amazing. We will definitely be back!

Oceanfront view and on the beach was fantastic. We ate on patio every morning and listened to the waves which was great. Bedroom is on other side so not noisy while sleeping. There were spots on the carpet in front of the door that were not appealing to see when you walk in. Also the carpets and area carpets seemed like they needed cleaning. Area carpets had spots that looked like they could've been easily washed out. Shower door was broken but management was going to fix it fast. Shower is very small and needs upgrading. Kitchen needs upgrading also as its pretty old but still functionaland it was nice to have a full kitchen with pans and dishes and a coffee-maker. All-in-all we loved it tho, cuz of the oceanfront and views and being on a nice beach.

Loved the area we stayed in, was close to the freeway and close to everything. From our balcony looking out was the beach. Beach was beautiful and not crowded. Would stay here again.

Horrible Stay june2021! from California

Horrible experience when we got to Sugar Beach Resort. We reserved 2 rooms on hotels.com and already paid since April 2021. When we got there only 1 room was reserved and the receptionist said she couldn't help us. Called hotels.com several times and waited 2-3 hours (ruined our whole day due to waiting for a response and being put on hold). Called Vacasa and they said only 1 room was reserved but explained that I reserved 2 rooms and paid full price since April but they said it's hotels.com fault. They can't give us another room because the resort was fully booked but we could stay at the resort with 6 adults and 2 kids in 1 room. It was very uncomfortable sharing 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. Vacasa and hotels.com are pointing at each other who's fault for not reserving 2 rooms even though they got my money. I called hotels.com for a refund for the other room since yesterday and no response yet. I will give them 48 hours to call me back or I will call my lawyer for the inconvenience and stress this whole situation caused us.

The pictures on the site were somewhat deceptive in that they included a photo that showed an ocean view which this unit clearly did not have. That photo should be removed. Aside from that the lanai view facing the little koi pond and waterfall with a peek a boo view of the ocean was pleasant. The unit itself needs some updating. The carpet is very tired looking. Housecleaning was subpar: the fitted sheet on our bed had a stain that looked fresh (like blood) so I stripped the bed and the stain came right out indicating that perhaps the cleaner forgot to change this from the previous occupant. The pillows were limp and old. Invest in some new pillows please.

Sugar Beach Resort leaves a sour taste in my mouth

Definitely no sugar here. The best part about the stay was proximity to the ocean and the views. The place is a dump and needs a remodel. Power outage and then water leaks. While on vacation was interrupted by maintenance so they can go inside to check on a water leak. Then we find out the water will be turned off the next day for a few hours. Can you imagine lounging in your condo and being told that you won't have any of the amenities you paid for? Good thing we were out exploring the island that day. Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am? No shaka love here..

Beach front

When we first arrived I was concerned about the dirty carpet prior to our arrival. The Mgmt company had the carpet cleaned. The location is wonderful easy access to Kihei, Lahaina and the airport. The ocean is steps away and you can fall asleep to the sounds of the waves.

My first time to Maui and this confo location was perfect. Everything we needed and centrally located. This condo helped make my first trip spectacular.
