Comfortable and Cozy OBX Getaway

My family and I had a great time staying at this house. We were able to jump right into beach mode when we got there & cooked lunches and dinners, ran our swimwear & towels through the washer and dryer, relaxed in the living room and porch after a long day, and slept great in the comfy beds. The location was perfect in that we were close to everything we wanted, but there wasn't a lot of traffic or noise to worry about.

Conveniently Located and Comfortable Beach Haven

Enjoyed our stay as this cottage was conveniently located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills and had everything we needed for our family of four and dog. Price was reasonable compared to similar cottages in the area. Cottage had a nice newly renovated kitchen and all of the basic amenities along with cute beachy decor.

A comfortable Place

The landlord was amazing when answering and replying. Had a very comfortable stay, beds were soft, loved having washer /dryer access. Was surprised of no trash bags or dishwasher tablets, had to buy, and no access to broom or vacuum for sandy floors, but easy fix and pleasant all around.

Quiet and good location

Celebrating a graduation with family. Quiet neighborhood and close to a lot of things to visit. Nicely decorated but there was no hair dryer, shampoo or soap that was listed as being provided. We knew it was a dog friendly rental but didn’t realize there would be dog hair from previous renters. The carpet needs a good vacuum/cleaning between renters. The screen door had tears in it and the veneer on side of the counter at the door is halfway off. The bbq is one like at a campsite and I am assuming the “garden” area is the backyard. It was not really inviting, but it was too hot to do anything outside anyway. It rained quite a bit and the gutter along the side of the house either needs cleaning out or fixing. It was over flowing onto the stairs. Had to use an umbrella or you would get soaked with gutter water. Might be a good idea to use a metal detector along the driveway because my son found two roofing nails where we parked. Very nice lot and location, just needs some tending to.

The beds were small; they were full instead of queen beds. Not very comfortable. Need more blankets. The tub in the master bedroom was stained.

Description of the place was not accurate

Poor communication with the owner prior to the stay cleanness was not acceptable we went out and bought cleaning supplies and clean the place before we would unpack. There was hair in the showers and bathroom area rugs were full of animal hair and human hair sheets seem to be not washed this comforter thrown on top of the twin beds look like someone had just crawled out definitely would not go back would love a refund on the cleaning service as well as property fee that I requested to waive the fee and never heard back from the owner

A nice long weekend getaway

We were looking for a small but cozy place to enjoy the new year and this house was perfect. Super clean, newly renovated and beautiful on the inside. My family loved the beds and it felt very “homely”. Decor was spot on. Neighbors were friendly. Communication with Joe was a pleasure and took care of any needs we had.
