Sue was very nice, texting prior to arrival. First impressions of the facility werenât great; there were lots of âdeadâ planters in the courtyard, unused childrenâs play stuff, tables and chairs just looking sad and it generally looked glum & scruffy. The room, for 3, was tidy enough, but felt very cold; especially the bathroom which only had a small mildly heated towel rail, but was quite a large room with high ceilings. Although it was clean, it smelled foisty & damp, which made it difficult for me to get to sleep. There was black mould in the shower too. The whole place felt âunlived inâ and cold. The breakfast was lovely and service very kind. The log fire was in use; which warmed us up somewhat. It just seemed a bit âtiredâ; in need of a touch of paint!
