nice location and pool
Booked the unit for Memorial Day weekend. The inside is very nice. It has a modern style, and all of the finishes, flooring, and furniture look new. The pool and patio area are nice. The view of the river/lake is great. The access to the boat ramp and slip is excellent. The listing was not clear that the unit was more of a condominium type of property rather than a "three-story luxury rental home" as listed. It is in a row of four units that are very close together. The balconies, pools, and even windows are right next to the adjacent houses. Such proximity is not necessarily an issue, but is different from the other properties I have rented on Lake LBJ using VRBO. During our stay, the unit on the end of the row, which is also listed on VRBO, was occupied by an individual who claimed to be the owner of it. It was an unfortunate situation for a variety of reasons including the fact that their dog barked incessantly at passing boats and anytime my party moved around in the back yard without any attempt on the part of the owners to quiet the dog. My party had two small dogs (one 10 pounds and one 17 pounds). One of our dogs was small enough to fit through the fence, so we had to keep them leashed any time the neighboring dog was in the backyard. It escaped into the neighbor's yard one time and before we could retrieve it the owner let her 50 pound dog into the yard to chase our dog before berating my wife and stating erroneously that our dog was too small to be staying there.
