Great layover on a trip

This is a basic clean stay. The room is big with all the basic necessities. The shower was amazing! The property is clean. Breakfast is basic fare (oatmeal, breakfast bars, yogurt, toast, cereal, juice, coffee, milk)

When I arrived my room had no towels and the volume on the TV was not working. I went to the front desk to let them know and they said that I will have to wait an hour to get towels and have someone look at my tip TV because that’s when management will be in, the front desk clerks are not allowed to issue out any towels to the guest. 30 minutes before check out someone knocked on the door, stating they were housekeeping. They wanted to know when I will be checking out of the room. 20 minutes later I get another knock on the door asking if I was going to stay an extra day. I felt like they were rushing me to get out there. This place also has bedbugs!!! do not, I repeat, DO NOT stay here! Otherwise you will have unwanted critter guests traveling with you back home.

Thank you for being our guest. I am sorry about the confusion or misunderstanding regarding the towels and I will make sure that doesn't happen any further. However, as a business and a human being I do not appreciate your outlandish lie stating the motel had bed bugs. This is absolutely false and defamation towards the motel. You have absolutely no proof of such, you never reported anything to motel staff. You only called it out in your post review only to take a jab at the motel because you were upset over an issue with some towels. We use one of the top-notch pest control companies in this region, they service almost every motel/hotel in my region from the Super 8 to Hilton brand hotels. So, I absolutely place my trust in them in knowing my motel has no bed bugs. Again, I apologize for the lack of towels in your room at check in but it does not give you the sole right in being malicious in your intent to defame my business. I always like to welcome guests back to the Super 8 Motel Kington, Tn, however, you sir may take your business elsewhere. We like serving folks with a little class and you lack that. Good day.

The hotels age is showing and whoever laid the flooring was lousy at best. 1/2 inch gaps between boards, the shower head only pulsated would not switch to rain mode we stayed 4 nights. When I said somehting to the guy on duty he said you have to put your dirty towels outside your door to get clean ones???? I've never heard of that, not in any motel I've ever stayed. The "breakfast nook lacked severly and the pack of donuts I ate went out of date in 2022. I found several other out of date packages on the shelf, very poor management. All in all it was a place to sleep and that's about it.

We thank you for your time in leaving a review. I assure you the donuts you consumed were not expired in the year 2022. I just purchased them from my Little Debbie vendor. Eye exam may be from 2022 but not my Donuts. Since Covid a lot of changes have taken place in worldwide hotels and motels. We do ask that towels be placed outside your door bc this alerts housekeeping you need them instead of us knocking or disturbing you, yes, we are an older property, OLD YES Outdated we are working on this. In a world as a small business, in a small rural town we are trying to survive. We pride ourselves in having clean rooms and friendly service. Our motel looks just like our booking pictures but that older eye exam wasn't doing it for you. I do apologize and hope you see better in the future. Stay well and tootles

Great affordable overnight stop with great water pressure, fairly comfortable beds, and friendly staff.

Being next to busy hwy I thought it would be loud but it’s tucked away just far enough not to be bothered by road noise… Very welcoming feeling home away from home cozy…. Only one complaint and that’s personal preference the beds are HARD….

If you’re on a budget it is ok. Toilet flushes only if you hold it for the entire cycle. Lights flicker, more electricity you use, more often it happens. Breakfast is pre packaged stuff, cereal bananas and old looking apples. Very minimal. Older motel but if you’re just going to sleep, price is fine

I apologize for the toilet flushing slowly. We are trying to find a resolution in fixing this problem. I hate that you found our breakfast minimal. We go way above and beyond the brand requirements for breakfast. Our apples are bought daily from our local grocery store. I assure you they were not old. Thank you for being our guest. The lights flicker from the ghostly creatures haunting us around here. They pay their rent so don't say much.
