It is located very close to tourist spots such as Mimosuso River Park in Dannoura the Kanmon Tunnel Human Entrance and the Hinoyama Ropeway stop and is easily accessible from Shimonoseki City Explore Shimonoseki including historic places delicious food unique shops interesting people and more
Mannaoshi and Kinkei are delicious and recommended
Its a 6minute walk to Akama Shrine which is associated with the Genpei War and an 11minute walk to Karato Market
There is an aquarium called Kaikyokan near Karato Market There are several restaurants where you can enjoy local food such as conveyor belt sushi so you might want to check it out From the port near Karato Market you can also take a sightseeing boat to Moji Port and go to Ganryu Island the site of the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro
