Meadowview Clean & Comfortable Home by River Side
Klamath Meadow View is a very special place to stay directly off US 101 along the Klamath River, centrally located near towering redwoods and pristine beaches with a beautiful view of a meadow. It is located in Chinook RV Resort.
We would like to welcome you to Chinook RV Resort. We would like to invite you to come and stay with us as you travel along the famous Highway 101 through the Redwood Forest. There are warm lake-front fires in the evenings where we would like to meet you and welcome you to our park.
We stayed at Meadowview for 3 nights due to it's proximity to both the northern and southern parts of Redwoods National and State Parks. Meadowview is a comfortable place to return to after a day of exploring the redwoods and coast. It was apparent via their guest log that the host incorporated guests' suggestions for improvements.
We had at least 3 people attempt to enter the house while we were there, as they were confused about where they were staying at the Chinook RV Resort. We directed them to Riverview, assuming that was their destination. Perhaps more detailed arrival/check-in instructions for the Meadowview/Riverview guests is needed on the rental sites?
Great proximity to the park. Listing when i booked said "cottage" (its been changed since). Its a trailer. It was quiet and other than some bugs and webs, it was clean enough. Listing said hot tub. Maybe i missed it, but didnt see it. Maybe the trailer park had one.
We were so happy with this stay! We had a 5 and 2 year old in the party. They had gates on the deck and yard and a playground right across the road!
The property was exactly as described. The living room on the other side of the master bedroom is as perfect for naps and bedtimes. We found banana slugs outside in the mornings which was awesome.
It was so convenient to get to places like Trees of Mystery and trails we did. Great smoked salmon next door to purchase. Added bonus was Klamath River Jet Boat Tours right down the road, like you can just walk there.
We had everything we needed and it was a very quiet and friendly RV park right next to it. Door code let in was easy. Very dog friendly one too with the best behaved dogs Iâve seen! We definitely hope to come back to this property.
We chose this place to stay due to the location, it was close to the state and national Forest. Having the laundry room, dish washer, outside patio was all very nice luxury to have on the trip. The stove did seem to take longer than normal to cook but other than that everything worked great. We would stay here again
We had family staying in the camp ground and were very fortunate that this was available. Clean and comfortable. Would stay again if I planned to be in the same area.
They photos very mislead this property. It was a old 70/80s single wide trailer. The primary bedroom had no window coverings and a full size bed not queen. There were cobwebs in the corners of the windows. No closet doors in either room. In the second room the binds were broken and could not be opened or adjusted with broken pieces missing. There were wholes in the rotten wood walkway/porch up to the front door that you had to step over and it was soft and squishy under your feet. The Wi-Fi password in the email was incorrect and itâs was practically non existent. We had to leave due to the area being out of power and no running water. Which I do understand is not the ownerâs fault.
Cottage was clean and cozy. Location was great for everything we had planned on doing. However, it was right on the highway and extremely noisy. The internet did not work. The tv was a smart tv and you had to stream your own apps to watch it but the internet was so bad it didn't work. There were no games or even a deck of cards for entertainment. No soap in the bathrooms. The pictures show a view of the river. You can't see the river from the house. The office was never open the whole time we were there. It's not a bad place to stay as long as you are prepared and know its downfalls before you get there.
This home is well kept, clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was very limited kitchenware and no dishwasher soap (even though they request we start the dishwasher) or shower soap, or shampoo which are usually at least provided in a limited way. It was fine for a family to stay as a gateway to the Redwoods, I would just like to know to bring more of my own amenities next time.
Great Location! Lots of space. There was a family of snakes under the pathway to the unit which creeped us out a little but other than that it was great!
An awesome stay. Its just little far from the creacent city which is nearest city . This is a camping site in forest. So calming and away from city noise . Good for camping and vacation.
We were very thankful that the property manager notified us before our first nights arrival that there was no power at the property due to a storm. Fortunately, we were able to get a hotel.
The property was very cozy and suited our needs to a Tee for the next two nights!
One downside, it had the slowest Wi-Fi ever! All of the TV selections required streaming, which is not big deal if the Wi-Fi speed is adequate. Every show we tried to watch buffered so frequently that it was impossible to watch.
This property is in a great location to be able to spend a few days exploring the Redwoods. My only recommendation is for the property manager to provide larger pots and pans because it was difficult to make meals for our group with the small ones they had there.
This was a perfect place my family. Having a 3 yr old boy there was a perfect play ground . You can watch your kids play from the front deck of the cabin. The location allows for alot of things. River ocean and redwoods. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit and enjoyed a beautiful view of the green lush scenery.
