One of the best locations in sunny Poipu Beach Kauai, Nihi Kai Villas Resort is just steps away from the Poipu shoreline and a little over 300 yards to world-famous body surfing Brennecke’s Beach and Poipu Beach Park. The plantation style architecture at this small island oasis by the sea is surrounded by swaying palms, tropical flowers, fruit trees, orchids, and mature plumeria trees accented by well manicured lawns.

Needs major maintenance

Very pleasant location close to the beach and pool. VRBO photos do not disclose true state of downstairs bathrooms. Lots of mold and scale on faucets and in shower doors. Balky upstairs screen doors, lax electrical outlets throughout and noisy wall toilets all are deferred maintenance. The loud crunching sound when you sit on wall mounted toilets will definitely wake others in the middle of the night. This is not a complaint about 1978 bath fixtures that are stiff but still work. It’s advice
owners should be sure the mold, mildew and scale are not taking over. But, oh, owners have already conveyed their preferences by ignoring major maintenance needs. We’ll stay elsewhere next time.

kauai is always the best!

Besides the initial check-in which was frustrating and challenging. the condo is nice and adequate for a family. we all loved playing pickle ball and it was nice to have the beach chairs and equipment. The location for bookie boarders is excellent and if you a Puka dog, it is all just down the road.

Quiktrip to Kauai

The first expression that came out of my kids mouths when we open the door was oh my gosh this is nice! And, they were right everything was just superb about this location and everything about the facility! Communication was prompt and thorough. If we go back to Kauai, we will definitely stay there again! We love how close it was to Poipu Beach and restaurants there as well

Top vacation location

Very nice vacation "home" to yourself with 2 story design, i.e. open kitchen/living on top (great balcony overlooking pool and ocean) and bedrooms/bathrooms on ground floor. If not clear from description: the unit has no air conditioning. But there are plenty of fans plus the house is designed such that open screens go in all directions, so you can profit from natural airflow throughout the day. Grounds are very nice and resort-like. Large common (but gated) pool, literally ten steps away from master bedroom terrace. Absolute highlight is the oceanfront: directly in front of balcony and pool, Brennekes beach just steps away, Poipu beach park 3 minutes on foot. Poipu is nice as such and also very convenient for any activity on Kauai. Unless you are fixed on North Shore activities, everything seems to be not much farther away than a 30 min. car ride. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

Great location with epic view!!

Ocean and pool views are incredible, and the pool is just steps out the back door. Check-in and check-out was seamless, everything was clean and basic kitchen and laundry supplies were in place. It was an easy place to kick into vacation mode! 5 minute walk to Brennecke Beach - highly recommend starting your day with an early boogie board there (also provided!). Meals on the lanai were lovely. Bedrooms are small but who cares, you’re hardly in them. Showers were hard to operate but it didn’t affect our overall experience. Property is well-maintained and scenic. Kids loved it, we loved it, would definitely go back!

The condo was clean and comfortable. In the twin bed, bedroom, 1/2 of the closet was locked. Not enough room to hang all of our clothes.

Great location

This condo is located perfectly for walking down to the beach and local stores. The pool is right outside the primary bedroom door. Also has all the necessary supplies to make it work like home. Could use some repairs - one of the sliding screens to the lenai needs to be replaced, it will not stay on the track. We just propped it closed and used the other screen to go in and out.

Awesome location

Awesome location, super close to the beach, could see the sea turtles come out of the water at night and the leopard seals during the day. The room got a little toasty but with all the windows open it was really nice in the house.

Great location, comfy condo

This was a fantastic location and the condo was roomy and comfortable, with a nice beachy vibe. I loved the mirrored wall that captured the view of the ocean and reflected it so it felt like a panoramic view of the ocean from every part of the living area. The bathrooms are super dated looking, but they were very clean and everything worked well (nice water pressure, etc). We loved having the slider right out to the sidewalk. Since I read about a million reviews and not a single one mentioned the sewer smell, I will assume this was an isolated incident the week we were there and that the unit isn't always downwind of the awful smell of raw sewage! Other than that, I would suggest a better equipped kitchen (we were always running out of forks and plates) which is an easy fix for the property owner. All of the screen doors and sliders need some work- the screens were totally off track, but when I messaged the office they got right back to us and "fixed" them while we were at the beach (we gave them permission to enter while we were not home). They didn't truly fix them- they need to be replaced, but they worked well enough for the rest of the stay. We stayed with another couple and loved the privacy of the two bedrooms on opposite sides of the condo. It would also work really well for a family of 4 to stay. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Excellent ocean view villa

Well managed property. Parrish Collection kept in contact with us by text and email at every step to make our check in/out and stay smooth. Furniture in the unit was dated but in good condition . The 2 story unit was spacious and comfortable. Nice view of ocean and small pool and pleasantly landscaped grounds and pathways.. Walked across street and short block to beach and restaurants during our stay. Close to spectacular seaside walking trails. Tennis courts on the property grounds. Our unit provided us with beach chairs , boogie boards, coolers, tennis rackets/ balls and plenty of beach towels. Overall, our expectations were exceeded!

I have nothing but good remarks for this villa. There are gorgeous ocean views, easy walk to the beach, park and pool. The villa is comfortably furnished and quite spacious, attention has been paid to detail. The manager on the property was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. This place is a gem on a gem of an island!
