1 Bedroom Oceanfront Condo in The Riggings!
The Riggings is the last complex on the south end of Ft. Fisher just before the Ft. Fisher State Historic Site. While this can mean a narrowing of the beach during high tides, it is hard to find a unit that sits any closer to the ocean. You will enjoy the soothing sounds of the gently crashing waves as you overlook the community pool, perfect for parents wanting to keep an eye on the young ones without being in the middle of the action.
This is cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bath top floor condo called "Rudicile" features an oceanfront living room with a sofa bed, dining area and kitchen with stainless appliances. There is an alcove in the hall that has Twin bunk beds and the primary bedroom with Queen bed is street side. The large oceanfront deck has amazing views of the Atlantic and plenty of room for outdoor dining. Make sure you get up early for a breathtaking sunrise.
At the Riggings Condos in Kure Beach, NC, enjoy a quiet escape in a one-bedroom condo with direct beach access. Located on the far south end of Pleasure Island in Kure Beach, this complex is near Fort Fisher aquarium and historic Civil War battlegrounds, and offers a private pool.
There is a newly redone oceanfront swimming pool on site and you are just a very short distance from the NC Aquarium and Fort Fisher Civil War Museum. Assigned parking for one car at the complex and additional parking for one car across the street. No boat trailers are allowed. Recent beach re-nourishment prohibits anyone walking on the sand bags that protect the beach.

Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. Condo was nice and clean. Stocked with basic kitchen needs. Balcony was nice and big. It could use new chairs. There was no elevator. Overall very pleased with our stay. Beach wasnât crowded and very clean. Pool was also clean and well maintained.
This is definitely $1 million view on the third floor four sets of eight steps so it a lot to not have elevator. when we arrived, the maid had not taken dirty clothes that were left behind the curtain from the current people, we let them know right away she told me to leave them on the porch in the bag, which I did they never came for them and they got blown all over the parking lot. if youâre looking for a place just to lay your head and look at the million dollar view this place is great.money is great for this place . It is a bit dated with $1000. You could really spruce it up. The bedroom did not have a TV which was very disappointing and the living room had a very small TV probably about a 19 inch. The furniture was very old and dated, and the bunkbeds were like an afterthought like in an area for closet with very terrible mattresses. But we didnât care too about that as we were never in the apartment for very long we were only there at night to lay head down. The washer and dryer were brand new. They did work and we only had a problem with the TV and the Internet not working but we didnât watch it so we didnât care. I did let them know. for the money it is well worth it. If you donât care about it being dated, but for the view itâs more than worth it. I think some of the reviews are a little harsh, but I understand why because it is so dated and it would only take very little money to change it out like the bedspreads you can buy a bed in the bag at Walmart for cheep
Furniture was worn out, shower curtain rod was rusted and shower curtain was inadequate, black mold on front door, mattress was worn out. I'm shocked Bryant Reality would represent a property in this condition. To Bryant's credit they sent a maintenance man to the property. He was shown the problems and stated the owner needed to address these.
The view was amazing. We enjoyed our time at this condo, but we will not stay in this unit again for several reasons. The property was not properly cleaned. We discovered lots of dirt and trash under the pullout couch. The sheets were still on the pullout bed and they were covered in sand, crumbs, and hair. The sheets on the bed in the bedroom also had hair on them. The comforter/decorative pillows in the bedroom were dirty and stained. Since the bedding was not changed, that really made us wonder what else wasnât cleaned properly. The washing machine was out of order, which I was informed of prior to our stay. However, when we arrived at our unit, there was a maintenance man there who informed us that the dishwasher was not working either. We booked this place for a week, and did not have a working washing machine or dishwasher the entire week. The kitchen is also poorly stocked. The inside of the coffee maker was gross, so we did not use it during our stay. I will give credit to Morgan, the manager of guest relations at Bryant Real Estate, as she was more than happy to provide us compensation for the inconveniences. We were extremely pleased with her service and professionalism. This property is also not advertised correctly. The photos show a walkway leading from the beach to the pool, but no such walkway exists. I understand the beach has eroded and adjustments had to be made, however the photos need to be updated. The unit could use some updating & new furniture as well.
The condo is dated however it was clean and comfortable. Loved the view and the pool. There was a broken tread on stairs that almost took me out, hope that's looked at.
I know the area, so was familiar with the property. We had a great time. Note bottom step going from 2nd to 3rd floor in G--piece of wood splintered off edge, probably should replace, could be trip hazard. Very happy with condo, only suggestion would be to upgrade "sleeper sofa" in living room. Foot of sleeper 2 or 3 inches higher than head of bed, 3 inch mattress very uncomfortable. My adult son and spouse opted for bunk beds rather than sleeper. If we had had 6 people sleeping there (as advertised), would have been a problem. But very happy otherwise, with location, cleanliness, and furnishings.
