We spent 05 nights in Imagine Hotel Kyoto from 21 to 26 Dec 2025. A cozy and warm space near the Grand Kyoto Station and Avanti Kyoto Shopping Mall. Great Hotel crew especially Axe helping us with our queries. The shared lounge is amazing where we cooked our breakfast there daily. The owner himself met us on our 2nd day, and wish us to have a great stay in his hotel. Overall a very nice place for family, which include my wife and 03 kids (age 13 to 17). Definitely will stay here again when we travel to Kyoto. Highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel and a great way to experience Japanese living. Not quite what I would call a full ryokan, our room fortunately had it's own bathroom and tub, while still having the tatami matt floor and futons. The tub was a deep soaker and set up to provide a private onsen experience. We really enjoyed our stay

The hotel location and proximity to Kyoto station and other train access points was perfect. The hotel itself is quaint and comfortable, with its own style and charm. The rooms were very comfortable and clean as well. The absolute best part were the staff - friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. The owner himself greeted us on our final day and was extremely appreciative and humble. Such a pleasure to support a local business owned by such a lovely person and operated by a wonderful team.

I like the design of the hotel, the bedrooms and even the bathrooms. It’s very new and well designed. Half the room has a tatami with space for three futons, and the bathroom has a separate design so one area for toilet and one area for bath and shower that can be used separately. The staff it’s nice. No restaurant, but they have facilities for cooking, laundry, and movies. They also have a rooftop for when it’s not raining.

We loved our stay at Hotel Imagine Kyoto. The hotel is a short walk from Kyoto station. There is a nice common area our room was pretty spacious. Nice rooftop area to relax, too.
