I enjoyed my stay at JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME KYOTOEKI HACHIJOGUCHI. It's located within a 5-minute from Kyoto Station and has a 7-Eleven which is linked to the main lobby. The main challenge is finding your way out of Kyoto Station which is huge and confusing but no fault of the hotel! :) The room was a good size (not big but comfortable) and had a writing desk which made it easy for me to do my work and have my takeout meals. At the ground floor lift lobby, there's a sort of "buffet table" of daily consumables such as toothbrushes and shavers. The staff were friendly. Checking in and out was easily done at the automated kiosks. I loved the surroundings of the hotel. The area it was located in was safe, clean and quiet. It was easy to walk to the Keihan bus terminal at Avanti Building so that I could buy tickets for and board the airport limousine bus to Kansai International Airport. I would absolutely choose to stay in this hotel again if I were visit Kyoto again.

Overall it was good stay. I would like them to consider offering flexibility of upto 30 mins of early check in and late check out. When people are visiting from long distances, it is important to offer this buffer.

Really great hotel. It has an amazing breakfast buffet that starts really early so perfect for early risers. The laundry room is convenient although you need to compete with the rest of the guests to get a machine, and you have the issue that if it doesn't ddry well you need a second load. The rooms are comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Perfect when coming from the train station

The location is very convenient, just across the road and opposite to the JR train station. It is easy to take city buses when travelling to and from a range of attractions and sites or do day trips to nearby cities. The room has a reasonable size. Very happy about my stay there

I experienced an issue with one of my rooms and had to have it changed middle of the night. The lady Yamazaki was very patient and found me a room very quickly. The accomodation was clean and very close to the Kyoto station. It is a standard 3* hotel but bed / pillow was not very comfortable unfortunate

Brilliant stay

Brilliant stay, spacious well equipped room, lovely shower both very clean. 4 great nights sleep. Breakfast offered enough choice, staff were attentive and very helpful. Location excellent especially if you book trips that depart close by Kyoto station. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

Great location, very close to Kyoto station. Room was not clean when I arrived. Coffee table, couch, and carpet had visible stains and the bed had an unpleasant smell. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants nearby and 7/11 next to the hotel.
