One of our favorite hotels during our vacation in Japan. My kids loved the rooms and we enjoyed the easy location and support by the staff. The breakfast is very good.

The place was okay. The AC stopped working in the middle of the night and so the room got so hot were woken up by the heat. Very uncomfortable and the facility did nothing about it. We were there for two nights. I had to gk on youtube to try and fix it.

Positives: The building is beautiful, clean, and in a wonderful, atmospheric neighborhood. The staff is kind and helpful. Beds are very comfortable, nice room darkening window coverings and quiet surroundings. Negatives: Poor wifi access and connection in rooms. Maybe due to all the concrete within the interior of building. Laundry facilities lacked English instructions and detergent. Very inconvenient, I had to go buy detergent at pharmacy 10 minute walk away. Most other hotels either supplied it or let you purchase on site the detergent. Also no change machine for coin laundry. Lastly I understand cutting plastic waste about water bottles but there should be water dispensing machines on each floor. The elevator takes a long time. Also, the glass water bottles look aesthetic but with no handle, they are slippery to hold especially two at a time.

Great spot in Kyoto! Found some excellent dining within our area, and were quite pleased it was right near the Samurai Museum. It’s walkable to the train system, and fantastic shopping spots nearby. The facilities were great, and really enjoyed the common dining space.

The property is very clean and the room is roomy. There is plenty of space for my family of 5 and our suitcases. It is within walking distance to Nishiki market and the other shopping areas are nearby. Staff is very friendly. Will stay here again when we visit Kyoto again.

This hotel was beautiful. The room was luxurious and the staff was great. I lost my wallet in Arashiyama and they called the local areas I visited several times to help me find it. Will return on our hopeful trip back to Japan! We loved it here!

This was a great location, walking distance to so many places and in a quiet location. The hotel has a coffee shop and clothing store attached to it which is really fun and adds a great element to the stay. The common areas, carpeting, doors, walls, and laundry equipment was quite worn and it gave dorm room/hostel vibes. Not terrible, but noticeable. The nightly price is fair. Beds, linens, and room sizes were very comfortable.

Stylish, peaceful, well-run — highly recommended!!

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room and shower were spotless, and the shower itself was out of this world! The room design was beautiful — a minimalist mix of wood and cement with clean lines that created a peaceful, calming atmosphere. It felt like a quiet retreat in the middle of the city. The staff were wonderful — very kind, helpful, and fluent in English. They helped us send our luggage to our next destination and even assisted with restaurant reservations, which made everything feel seamless. Check-in and check-out were incredibly efficient — probably the quickest we’ve experienced. The hotel also has washing machines and dryers, which came in handy during our trip. That said, with only two of each, it might be worth adding a couple more, as we did have to wait for them to become available. The location is fantastic — in a quiet, picturesque neighborhood with charming shops and cafes. It's about a 10–15 minute walk to the main shopping street, which was perfect for us. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-designed stay in Tokyo!
