We have stayed here probably 5 or 6 times over the last 4 years that my son went to Lacrosse. I believe it has changed hands 2 or 3 times. It has gone down hill over that time. During this stay the fire alarm system was out of service. We were on the 5th floor. So it did not make me feel safe in case of a fire. We did not have a fridge in our room. When I called down to get one the gal must have forgotten because I had to stop in at the front desk and then she quickly remembered. I know the location is great but you better not have high hopes.

Convenience and Comfort in LaCrosse

All staff was wonderful at the Pear Street Hotel. Breakfast was simple and rooms were clean, plus the hotel is right in the heart of Downtown LaCrosse. The appliances could use some updates (toilet handles kept sticking, AC didnt seem to work or be adjusted), but other than that, it was great.

The staff probably should communicate better. At 8:45 at night a technician came into my room without knocking. I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen.

I loved the set up of the room I had. Cozy living room, kitchenette, bedroom, bath. Affordable price. Sometime on Saturday my refrigerator stopped running and everything got warm so my leftovers were spoiled. Other than that it was a great stay.
