This was an amazing property. The grounds and views were stunning. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was so well stocked with everything we could need. This house stunned us from the moment we walked in, with its spectacular views of the valley from the wrap-around deck overlooking a meticulously planned outdoor entertainment area. Unequivocally, the best home that I have ever rented. It has that brand-new feel with no detail overlooked. The entire house was immaculately clean, professionally decorated with every amenity that one could want. The infinity pool was ideally situated above the valley with expansive lounge chairs, a dining area on the deck, along with two other sitting areas, one of which was off the secluded master, and another lounge area with outdoor seating and white lights that hung above for the perfect evening ambiance. The jacuzzi, firepit, and outdoor built-in bbq with sink sat below and off from the pool, which allowed for another expansive entertainment area. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, utensils, and new appliances. An espresso machine, a popcorn machine, and so much more were situated at a separate bar in the living room. The primary bedroom had a spa-like feel with a beautiful view (all the rooms in the home had views), a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. The casita, just a few feet from the main home, was very expansive with a large bathroom, walk-in shower, and provided lots of privacy. Magdalena was the absolute best, readily available to answer any of our calls and text messages. She also provided great recommendations regarding local sites and helped me secure a rental car.

Great stay for our group of seven

Beautiful property with amazing views. It was perfect for our group of 7 including kids and adults. Pool and covered hot tub (important in rainy season) were awesome - great place to relax after a busy day of adventuring around Arenal volcano. Host was very helpful, even providing fresh eggs at arrival. The only watchout is it is a bit far from everything - restaurants are 20 minutes away and La Fortuna was 40 minutes. Overall we had a great time!

Absolutely incredible stay!

My family spent 4 nights at this amazing home in Costa Rica. The inside of the home is clean, updated, luxurious, and large enough for everyone to have space. The outside of the home is a place I didn't want to leave! Gorgeous landscaping, a fun pool and hot tub, lots of seating, and an unbelievable view. We also saw toucans and many other birds from the back patio! Magdalena was so helpful from beginning to end, answering all of our questions and giving thorough explanations. Esmerelda did laundry and kept the house clean allowing us to relax even more. I would say the only slight downside for us was how far it was from La Fortuna, which I knew from reading previous reviews. It was worth it for the experience in such a wonderful place, but we did get tired with all the driving and we should have planned our groceries better to eat more meals at home. Oh, and the breakfast we got on the last day that Magdalena suggested was our very best meal of the entire trip!

Paradise!

We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many vacation homes. This one was, hands-down our favorite. The house is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need. The view is stunning. The owner/host was so kind and made our stay even more memorable. Even our two teenage boys loved the house and didn’t want to leave! It is about a 45 minute drive into la Fortuna, which we were ok with because we wanted to be somewhere quiet and peaceful. There is a small town just down the hill with a couple of super markets and a bakery. This house itself is an experience. As you plan your activities, be sure to give yourself some downtime to enjoy being here too!

Wonderful home. Gorgeous grounds with toucans, hummingbirds and parrots. Incredible view and inside decorated very nice. Very comfy beds. Very secure. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Enjoyed using pool and hot tub too. Esmeralda was wonderful with daily housekeeping. Magdalena was fabulous with info on anything we needed and even recommended a chef who came and prepared dinner for us one night. Wish we had planned more time just to stay at house and enjoy. Took 30-45 minutes to get to various la fortuna activities but we enjoyed the beautiful home at the end of our full days.

Privacy, Luxury, View, Relaxation.....Pura Vida

Our family enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home in early June. The setup is perfect: wrap around porch, two outdoor sitting areas, outdoor dining, pool, hot tub, grill, perfect for outdoor living. And cover everywhere if it rains. Indoors was just as nice with everything you need - we did not have to worry about missing anything - everything is there for kitchen and bath. Hostesses were amazing with the best communication. Daily housekeeping is provided if you choose, including laundry, so pack light! The view is better than the pictures. Roughly 30-40 minutes from La Fortuna but we did not mind the daily drive as a trade off for the privacy, peace and quiet, view, and private pool, etc. Lots of birds and animals to watch right on the porch. Gated community as well. All in all, a great way to experience the real Costa Rica, away from the hustle and bustle. We really felt like this home helped us experience what Costa Rica is really about - nature, adventure, beauty, and friendy people. Enjoy!

An Incredible Place

Beginning with timely communication from Magdelina we knew where we were going and how long it would take us to get there. House is fantastic. Beautiful views, private, well laid out. Modern Home with a Gorgeous View

The property is beautiful and felt very secure. The home is modern, spacious, clean and has a spectacular view. Magdalena was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests. She even provided us with drinks and groceries for breakfast to get us started. Upon our arrival Esmeralda (the housekeeper) met us at the house and showed us around. Both ladies are extremely nice and welcoming. My only complaint is that the location given in the description is not accurate. The map on VRBO shows the property in El Tanque but it is actually about 30 minutes east near Muelle. Not a huge deal but it is further from La Fortuna than we thought.

Modern Home with Amazing View

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home in El Tanque. The home is so clean and modern with incredible views! We spent so much time outdoors in the comfortable furniture on the wide porch or in the new swimming pool. We ended up cooking for ourselves quite a bit because the kitchen was so wonderful, as was the outdoor grill. We especially appreciated the dishwasher and the oven. Everything was so clean and new! Same goes for the beds, and they were so comfortable. Magdalena was an excellent host! She gave us great recommendations on restaurants and was very easy to reach when we had a question. The property did come with housekeeping services--we only used it one day during our stay but it was very nice to have someone come in and freshen our towels and clean the kitchen and bathrooms. The property is a bit farther from town than we have been used to in the past, but we quickly adapted, just allowing a little more time to get up and down the hill from the house. You could get by with a regular car, but we had a 4-wheel drive and I would encourage that--some sections of the drive were steep and rocky. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Highly recommended!!

Great Place and Host

We had a great stay at this beautiful house with our family of five. It is a very nice place. It's in a secluded rural area that is very quiet-yes you need an SUV. We arrived at night but Magdalena our host was there waiting and provided great directions. She was great with recommendations during our stay. It was about a 30 minute drive to the La Fortuna area for neighboring attractions during our stay.
