The "rooms" are more like bungalows and are wonderful and pretty private. The food at the restaurant was great every time we ate there. The only possible downside is parking and walking to your bungalow, but porters bring your luggage for you and I'm sure they will get it for you when you check out. We took our own. The night tour for frogs was great and easy walk, we actually saw a sloth on our walk. We also took the sloth tour and saw 7! Including 2 moms with babies:) We ran out of time to do the bridge and waterfall:( I would highly recommend staying here! Everyone and everything was great!!

Our stay in La Fortuna was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s beautiful jungle location offered a perfect balance of privacy and connection to nature. Waking up to the sounds of the rainforest and having peaceful walking paths and yoga spaces on site made it incredibly restorative. The food was outstanding—thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and consistently delicious. What truly set this place apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. Our private, jungle-surrounded jacuzzi tub was absolute perfection—soaking in it felt completely secluded and luxurious, especially after a day of exploring. It was the perfect way to unwind. If you’re looking for a place that combines nature, privacy, comfort, incredible food, and impeccable service, this hotel is a gem. We would return in a heartbeat.

I was not sure what to except in the small town of La Fortuna. The hotel offered a beautiful landscaped breathtaking scene of the volcan. Although while we were there it rained every day we did get a sneak peak one morning of the volcano. Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. The pool was used by the kids every day, even in the rain. Great stay for family of four with two teenagers. Spacious rooms, great pool. Breakfast was great. They coordinated two tours for us - night walk and sloth tour - both eco friendly and wonderful! Highly recommend and look forward to returning!

The room was immaculate, boasting a fantastic balcony with a view of the volcano. The balcony featured a glass side wall and a privacy curtain, also keeping the rain out. While the bathroom was a bit dated, it was clean and included a European bidet. The property itself was truly five-star: well-designed and meticulously maintained. The swimming pools were excellent, with one at a regular temperature, a second one heated—ideal for a cool December weather—and a heated whirlpool. We also enjoyed exploring the property's private trail and spotted some monkeys. The main restaurant where breakfast and dinner were served was spacious with high ceiling and nicely decorated. We really enjoyed breakfast buffet as well as dinner. Great stay overall!

Grounds were fabulous with lush gardens and view of the volcano! People were very warm and friendly, especially at breakfast time. Highly recommend! We stayed in a bungalow with an amazing direct view of Arenal volcano and got to see it in various stages of the day and sun and clouds. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned. The bathroom was dark and could use better lighting for sure. But it was a minor thing. AC worked well given that it was so hot and humid outside.
