Riverfront and Unique! "Grand Wildlife Lodge"
Summary:
DCCA #820024
Tucked away in the quiet wilderness of La Pine, Oregon, Grand Wildlife Lodge is your ideal mountain retreat. Sitting on the banks of the calm Little Deschutes River and just minutes from the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and a short drive to Sunriver and Bend, this location offers easy access to hiking trails, alpine lakes, fishing spots, snowmobiling, Mt. Bachelor and other snow play! Your perfect year-round destination awaits!!
The Space:
If you're looking for the fingerprints of Mother Nature, you've found them! Embedded in the Ponderosas and Quaking Aspen, this idyllic custom built cabin and furry and feathered friends await! Outside you can often see many varieties of birds, deer, squirrels and chipmunks. We have regular wild turkey wandering through. Keep in mind, there is no hunting or shooting on the property! This keeps our guests coming and the property safe for everyone! Up river is a beaver den, so you may catch site of some bigger swimmers. You could catch a glimpse of some little swimmers too, as river otters are common in the area. One of the best things about the cabin and the river, you can drive up river and float home; or start at the cabin and float down to be picked up. Bring your tubes!
Step inside and you’re greeted by soaring peaked ceilings, natural wood textures, and the cozy, rustic character of a true log cabin. The open living room centers around a majestic floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, with tall windows framing stunning views of the surrounding forest. Whether you’re curled up on the couch or settling into an armchair with a board game and a warm drink, it’s a space made for comfort and connection. The kitchen is fully equipped and full of charm, featuring wood cabinetry, stone countertops, stainless steel appliances, and both a Keurig and drip coffee maker. A spacious island with seating for four leads into the dining area, where a large table for eight invites everyone to linger over meals and conversation.
The home is full of cozy corners to read, unwind, or simply take in the stillness of the woods. A bonus studio space above the garage offers a quiet, private retreat—ideal for an afternoon nap, creative time, or peaceful solitude. Back in the main home, both upstairs balconies offer fresh mountain air and sweeping views, while the downstairs deck features outdoor dining, a grill, and easy access to the backyard. Down by the river, you’ll find a firepit and picnic table, the perfect setting for stargazing, s’mores, or a peaceful morning coffee. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure or quiet rejuvenation, this riverfront log lodge offers the best of both—nature at your doorstep and serenity in every corner.
