It was a great location for my friends and as in we meander a bit around Michigan and Indiana this summer. The home was lovely and incredibly comfortable for four adult friends! Claudia was really great to work with and so hospitable! Saving this location for a future stay!House was more then adequately stocked probably better than anywhere Iâve ever stayed!
We came up from Cincinnati for a little get away before school started back for the year. Everything was perfect. Claudia is amazing and the love and work she has poured into the house shows in every inch of the house. We plan to return in the future!
Claudia is very hospitable, and her "Home Away from Home" is quite lovely. Not only did Claudia take the time to meet us and personally explain the unique details of the property, but she also offered to make a grocery run for us! Her property is unique and full of character. She keeps it clean and well-stocked with supplies for the bathrooms and kitchen. Having baby items available to use was also very thoughtful. We would have loved to have used the fire pit and tandem bike amenities, but time did not allow. Thank you, Claudia, for providing a care-free and comfortable stay.
My wife and I and four teenage girls were traveling from southern Illinois to northern Michigan and needed a place to stay that had enough beds and rooms to handle our group. We were fortunate to find this really cool house. It has lots of character and plenty of room. The host, Claudia, was amazing. She communicated with us throughout the process and made us feel so welcome. The neighborhood and the town were really cool. We wish we had more time to stay and joy the house and area. We would definitely recommend
Quaint Victorian in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Claudia was very helpful & responsive. An excellent host. She even provided bagels for breakfast when she found out we had a late flight arrival.
The house was very welcoming and beautifully decorated. The pressure on the shower was amazing and our son had a blast with the a stuffed tiger in one of the rooms.
We absolutely loved our one night stay here! This historic home is truly a home away from home. Beds were comfortable and the wrap around porch was a delight! We would definitely love to come back!
We spent the night at this lovely home while in town for a family Christmas party. The house was well stocked and Claudia made sure we had everything we needed. We will DEFINITELY come back.
We came down from Grand Rapids to see a concert at Four Winds Casino New Buffalo and decided to stay at the victorian home in Laporte. We loved this beautiful home, our stay was just wonderful and the host is one of the best people I've ever met!
What a fabulous home to stay in! Rich in history & full of all the amenities you could need, provided by the owner. Tandem bike was so fun and the bonfire at night in the yard was a hit with us too! I honestly can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend !
We passed through LaPorte on our way to N. Michigan for one night only, and this listing made it very reasonable to do for our family of six. The fees were very reasonable making it a better value than multiple hotel rooms. Claudia couldn't have been more gracious and we were able to enjoy the nearby main strip and Pine Lake views during our short stay. The house has been well restored and the kids found it very interesting. Enjoy!
Brought the grandkids to my homeland for the week. We did a lot of things in and around LaPorte most of which involved water but when I asked my oldest granddaughter what her favorite part was she said it was the house!
We stayed at this home for a long weekend to attend a softball tournament. Our group included my family with kids and my parents. The home was well appointed for all of us (however, the staircase is steep, which may be a challenge for older guests). The home is spacious with all amenities needed for a large group. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. We had a lovely stay. Claudia went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Sheâs super communicative and made our check in and out a breeze. The home itself is in a lovely neighborhood with beautiful, historic homes. We enjoyed walking/biking the neighborhood in the evening. Iâd highly recommend this home.
