Welcome to a Lake House where life is just better and memories are made!
We are proud to introduce you to our lake house, which is located on Pine Lake in La Porte, IN. This beautiful house has 3200 square feet of living space, so that any family will feel comfortable and relaxed. It has been completely remodeled to comfort each and every guest in this house. Six beautiful rooms and two baths will allow each guest to have their privacy and sleep comfortably(Sleeps 12 ), maximum is 12 people! Large living room with panoramic windows and fire place will allow our guests to see the stunning sunrises and sunsets with a view of the lake as you relax, refresh and revive. There are a lot of activities that can be done such as: boating, swimming, jet skiing, kayaking and fishing. As you walk downstairs to the walkout basement, you will see a pool/ping pong table for those who like to play. Sauna can hold up to five people where you can rest and gain energy for your busy life. Our basement has a walk-out sliding doors that will open the view of our beautiful backyard and the lake, where you can sit down and relax.
Bring your boat or rent one at local Marina and enjoy 564 acre Pine Lake. You can dock your boat right in front of the property. Backyard gives you enough space to play volleyball or badminton.

Good location and space for large group. We had 9 adults.Things we loved - view, multiple spaces including rec room, good A/C, use of kayaks and rowboat.Things to know - split level so lots of stairs, hot water is very hot, water smells like sulfur so bring your own drinking water.Also, in August of 2025, neighbor is living in RV due to house fire and hooked up to water from the house. House was clean and had most of what we needed but kitchen supplies were not well organized and missing things like kitchen towels. Outside of house had overgrown landscaping, weeds and grass needed mowing. It just needs a little attention.

This was a great space for our family! The four children enjoyed sleeping in the three rooms in the basement and the six adults slept in the other three bedrooms on the main level. The place was clean, well stocked, and just perfect for us!! Thank you!

The house is as advertised, very nice and spacious. We had 11 stay comfortably and happily. The neighborhood is great and direct neighbors are very friendly. We had a great time using the kayaks, playing in the lake, speeding around on our small boat, and renting from the marina. Only complaint is the surrounding area does not provide much entertainment, food options, shopping, etc. Pine Lake the neighborhood is beautiful. The house is beautiful. The neighbors are fantastic. Just wish there were more in the direct surrounding area.

Peaceful and Serene

Had a wonderful time at Sofana on the Lake. Relax on the deck or one of the lounge chairs and swing in the backyard. House is spacious and our family had lots of space to spread out or be together. The sauna was a special treat. Host responds quickly and is very accommodating. Thank you for a great vacation.

Quite Cozy Relaxing House on the Lake

House was large enough for all of us and is very kid friendly. The location just off the main lake worked out well with 2 boats as they were protected from any harsh weather. The house has plenty of room for everyone and is close to town along with stores. Owner had quick responses to all of our questions.

Family Reunion

The property was as advertised... The house is in a great neighborhood and the amenities were as described. We had 10 Adults, 1 small child and an infant staying in the house for 8 days. There was never a time we felt cramped or had nothing to do. There were even several toys available in the home to keep our 4-year-old granddaughter occupied during quite times. We do wish there were mirrors in the bedrooms and that the downstairs bathroom shower had a shelf for shampoo & soap. However, overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations!

Nice place for a getaway

We had a group of 9 adults for a long weekend and this house was great. There is lots of room to spread out if you wanted quiet time and great space to come together for meals and trash talking. We especially enjoyed the deck area. Thank you again!

Nice Northern Indiana family getaway

After our main summer vacation plans got derailed by a medical situation we put together a quick stay in Northern Indiana. I was able to take my daughter to the outlet malls, my teen son to Valpo U for for a college visit, watched movies,my husband got to fish off the dock with my son, and those were just the rainy days. We also had a great visit up to Indiana Beach which was surprisingly decent. Sand, waves, refreshingly cool but not frigid water , nice breeze, and water views all the way up to the horizon. This house was phenomenal. Plenty of room and plenty of rooms to be together or avoid each other. Any family with teens will know both are important. Pretty views of Pine lake . The ping pong and pool table were both enjoyed, as was the paddleboat. I'd have liked more time out on Pine lake with the kayaks (my daughter demanded we return because she saw a spider in her kayak. Had we taken the time to hose out the kayaks before going out on the lake this would have been a non-issue ) The house had good water pressure in the showers. Having just learned on a recent trip how enjoyable a proper Finnish sauna (dry heat! ) I really enjoyed the in-house sauna. NO one else was game to try it, but that might have made it even better! Kroger and all stores within 10 minutes. The only thing I found slightly odd was that there were no dishrags/dishtowels, only paper towels. All my questions were answered promptly by Sergei. Would love to come back with more family/cousins

Paradise on the Lake

Great experience the house was ideal for our large family. The one thing that would have helped access to the porch door leading to the front parking. Plenty to do both at the house and in town ate at Around the Clock three times. Met the neighbor Frank and two of us being retired Navy we’ll need I say more. Thumbs up would recommend this vacation to anyone who asked me. Thanks

3rd Time Was A Charm

Whole family (6 adults) for our 3rd Thanksgiving at the house. Had a great group over for Wednesday dinner, 25 people ranging from 4 to 91. House was perfect again.

Family Friendly for ages 3+

We had 18 mo twins and the stairs were a challenge. We brought our own baby gates but they would not fit the wide openings. The downstairs was a colder than upstairs. We really enjoyed the deck with cover. Landscaping was beautiful. Caught a lot of little fish off dock with 5 year old grandchildren. There is no swimming beach. The inside dining table was great. We had 6 adults and 2 children around it but could have sat more. Really enjoyed the fire pit near the house. The sandbox and swingset was a plus for our grandchildren.

Thanksgiving 2022

Our second year in this location and was once again perfect for our family of 6, with our four children 20 to 25 years of age. Relatives over for Wednesday night dinner and a crowd of 20+ fit just fine in the large dining and living room areas.
