We got to stay in one of the new rooms and it was very nice. We ate in the restaurant both nights and it was excellent. The buffet breakfast was also good. Great proximity to the train station.

A fantastic hotel. A lot of money has been spent renovating it to a high standard. Our room was excellent with an amazing view over the town. The breakfast was generally good, but the hot choices did not have warmers under them and were therefore cold! The receptionists were super helpful with check-in and guiding us to the underground car park. As it is an old hotel, there is more than one lift. The one we used was quirky and tiny - only fitting 2 people with 2 cases.

There seems to be a wide variety of room conditions in this hotel. The rooms pictured on Expedia are the nice rooms and the room we checked into was not typical of the pictures. There was a large bubbling on the wall and the room needed various things fixed. It was very clean and the bathroom was updated. The only issues in the bathroom was the showerhead was too close to the front wall and was a vertical rain shower also the commode was tight in a corner and your knee would hit the wall.

Hotel was clean and breakfast was very good. Next to the train station and a short walk to Cinque Terre ferry. Only negative was the very small shower and lack of water pressure. Overall it was very good.
