D Gowdy Suite 1 is ground level with private key-less entry and screened porch with skylight. The hot tub is located out the front door in the Aspens and is shared with the other rental on the property. The bedroom has a 32 inch TV and king size bed. The kitchen has all essentials and extras. The living area has a couch, desk and 42 inch TV. The bathroom has a blow dryer and extra towels.

Convenient and easy access to Lake City. The bed is very comfy and there's even a hot tub and fire pit.

Great host wonderful spot

The place was great. The host went above and beyond even to the point he met me as I got out of my vehicle and gave me the run down of the rental. I really appreciated the almost family like warmth I got from Jim and can’t say enough about the friendly people I met in the town on my short stay. I look forward to utilizing Jim’s other properties as I bring people to enjoy the hidden gem that is Lake City.

Lovely Place

I would highly recommend staying at this mini apartment. It was located in a very quiet area of Lake City. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed. Unfortunately, a blizzard was predicted for the area and we chose to leave after one night. We were very disappointed that we didn't get to stay for both of our nights. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ouray Inn. I loved reading the stories of the inn and its 3 ownerships. Ouray is a great little town a this inn is right downhill from a great chocolate shop.

Lake City Fishing Trip

Fantastic little place for two in the neighborhood across the street from the Sportsman where our fly fishing trips left out of (ask for Matt - he is fantastic!). Jim was very communicative, nice hot tub in and aspen grove on the property. We will be back!

A great place to kick your feet up!

This was a great home to stay at, the bed was comfortable, the hot tub was nice, the living room cozy, and Jim was fantastic in communicating throughout our stay. I would book this place again in a heartbeat! (The decor and artwork alone was worth staying here for)

Exactly what we needed

Jim made the check in process so easy. The cabin was very clean, super quiet even with other guests upstairs, and had everything we needed for just the two of us. We normally come with several/a lot of our family members but have never stayed at an of the Gowdy properties. After this experience, we would be very happy to stay at whichever Gowdy property best accommodates our group. Great people, great experience.

Lake City Oasis

My friend and I wanted to see the leaves and stayed in Lake City because we had never been there before. Suite 1 was very comfortable for us and convenient to ALL that we needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen and bath were both fully equipped with what we needed for a comfortable stay and the hot tub was a welcome retreat after a day of driving. Our host was fully engaged from the beginning of my reservation and made sure that check-in went smoothly. The only suggestion I have would be that a box of kleenex be added to the suite, either in the bedroom or livingroom area. Just my preference.

Stayed for 3 days at this property. Owners thought of everything to make stay as nice as possible. Hot tub was clean and felt wonderful after a day of hiking. Everything was clean and tidy which we appreciated very much. Recommend Gowdy properties if staying in Lake City

Autumn Color Trip

The ground level residence was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog. It was thoughtfully equipped, very clean and easy to find. The bed was most comfortable and the host maintained excellent contact. On the off season places to eat are limited but the kitchen is fully set up to cook your own food. We had a very comfortable stay.

I stayed in Lake City for a few days to do some hiking in the area, and this house fit my needs. Plenty of room for one or two people. Everything needed was provided. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Making my time-away a truly relaxing experience

Jim and Dana Gowdy are fantastic! I had several different personal audibles in my stay and the Gowdy's were super accommodating when they did not have to be. The facilities were immaculate and comfortable. I will be staying at a Gowdy property again. I highly recommend them.
