Cozy cabin on Oxtongue River; Heron Cottage

Looking for a cozy retreat into nature? Escape to one of our luxury tiny cabins conveniently located on Highway 60 in Dwight, ON. Only 15 minutes to the west gate of Algonquin Park, 25 minutes to Arrowhead Provincial Park and 20 minutes to the city of Huntsville. On this 20 acre property you can take a walk down the forested path to the Oxtongue River or sit by the campfire and relax. In the summer, canoes and kayaks are provided to enjoy a paddle.

The tiny cabin has a main floor with kitchen, sitting area and full bathroom. Upstairs you will find a comfortable sleeping area with a beautiful view of the trees out of the huge window and of the stars through the sky light window.
We invite you to enjoy the natural peace and calm of this retreat.
Please keep voices and music low, especially in the evenings, so that all guests — and the local wildlife — can enjoy the stillness.
No smoking or vaping indoors. (We love our fresh air!)
Campfires only in the designated fire pit.
Never leave fires unattended.
Use provided firewood only — do not collect from the forest.
Fire extinguishers are provided, under the kitchen sink.
