We liked location & quietness, especially since it’s a larger property. The Haystack Bar & Bistro had wonderful crunchy chicken wings, but my salad with added chicken was terrible, the chicken was chewy, not good. I didn’t eat. The server did offer me if I wanted something else, but the damage was already done. The salad was not removed from the bill or discounted. The modern rooms are designed well, with a huge lake wall art & unique lighting. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Disliked: Staff & service
I must say that the staff needs training. They quoted me a rate to extend and didn’t want to honor it on the same day minutes after.
The food is expensive you never see people dining there, and the rooms are noisy. I wouldn’t stay there again. I would Rather pay more and have a better experience. I would rate this as a 2 star hotel with new construction. I am happy I left, I moved to a different hotel when my night was over. Terrible. Perhaps, if you are looking for one night hotel may work, but not longer than that. We are a family and this hotel has a great potential but not as is, and with the management it has. I forsee them suffering long term. Paying 50 more at a closer hotel near the town is way betters. Not worth time. Be cautious
Great place! Just a two minute drive to town or a 15 min walk. There is a shopping centre next door or a Stewart’s across the street. There are also dining options around without going directly into town. The place was new, clean and we loved the complimentary boating options. We would stay here again.
Very beautiful location. Right by the lake. The hotel itself is very new and nice. It has a very nice restaurant. Plenty of parking. Conveniently located near many attractions. There are also fire pits right by the lake on the hotel’s property. I highly recommend!
I enjoy having a restaurant in the hotel. Only wish it had ice tea to offer.

Disliked: Cleanliness
We stayed at this newer hotel for our 30th Wedding anniversary. I really wanted to like this hotel. The staff at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. However, the experience went down from there. In our first suite, there was an ongoing sound like a foghorn. We spoke to someone at the front desk and he moved us to another suite. At this point we were exhausted since it was in the later evening when we returned from our excursions. The layout of our next room was nice and had a balcony. However, it was not throughly cleaned and there were empty beer boxes behind a chair from a previous guest. The sink did not drain well, the water pressure from the shower was horrible and we had asked for our room to be cleaned the evening before. When we returned, the room was never cleaned and someone else's trash still sat there. Again, we had to complain. We did get our trash emptied and received new towels. When checking out we were asked how our stay was. After I shared our experience, we were compensated a bit for our experience. In the future, I hope this hotel fixes the issues and becomes a great stay for all guests.
This was such a great place to stay. Everything was perfect. The front desk agent, Manasi, welcomed us ( me and my Service dog Bobo) so gracefully and said farewell on our way out. It's always so pleasant to leave a hotel with a smile on your face, feeling good and knowing you'll be back. I cannot recommend this property more strongly. Best place I've ever staid in the Adirondacks!!!!
Our three day stay was great. The kids loved the indoor pool. The outdoor fire pits were great. We also enjoyed the paddle boats. I didn’t care for the restaurant choices or the food in general. The room was noisy due to the large vent in the hall outside our room. I also think there should be a grab bar in the shower. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable.
I had a really enjoyable weekend stay at the Cambria Hotel in Lake Placid. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and just the right distance from Summit Fields, which made getting to and from events incredibly convenient.
The hotel strikes a great balance for someone like me who loves the Lake Placid atmosphere but isn’t a fan of traditional inns or camping. It offered the comfort and modern amenities I was looking for while still feeling connected to the area’s natural beauty.
The woman who checked me in was new but did a fantastic job—she was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. My only real complaint is that the QR code menu in the room didn’t match what the restaurant was actually offering once I got there, and the small plates felt a bit overpriced for the portion size.
Overall, though, this was a great stay. I’d definitely return for future trips to the area.
The hotel was nicely upgraded. We loved the indoor pool. The beds were comfortable but the chairs in the room are awful. The shower floor is extremely slippery and no safety bars. I’m a senior so the unsafe shower will prevent me from staying here again.
The staff was very helpful. My husband uses a walker and staff members were always ready to offer assistance. The location and view from the deck was nice.
Our only complaint was the noisy a/c unit. When it was running it drowned out the TV and interrupted our sleep.
Otherwise things went smoothly and we were satisfied.
