AVAILABLE LABOUR WEEKEND 2025, well loved family Bach with flat lawn to lake edge. Sandy beach with own Jetty access.
Additional sleep out available for hire if you have a larger group. We can accommodate up to 8 guests maximum.

Generous outside deck with stunning lake views to the Mountain.

Main house sleeps 4 and has a double and single room. Separate sleep-out with 2 double rooms and separate key access also available for hire.

Main house has open plan living with Metro wood-burner fireplace. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and full size fridge. There is a separate toilet and bathroom with shower and bath. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Master bedroom with Queen bed and fabulous lake views has ranch slider access to deck. Second bedroom with 2 single beds ideal for a family.

Additional sleep-out has 2 bedrooms with separate shower and toilet. Bedrooms set up as one queen bed and one double.

This property has to be one of the best of the lake edge properties.

No tents or parking on front lawn.

Christmas and January peak period minimum stay of seven (7) nights.

A cleaning fee of $90 applies.

Breakages and damage must be reported to the owner as soon as possible.

Perfect family holiday

Perfect Kiwi bach for a family holiday. Lake access and shallow water were just right for littlies to develop water confidence, while the jetty was ideal for daytime boat mooring. The sleepout was a very convenient feature. We hope to return.

We had a lovely stay at this property and it meet it our needs except their was not enough info on the "rules" of the jetty. You are not allowed to leave a boat on the jetty overnight... which for us completely changes the point of having a jetty - if you are keen skiers and want it for the early am ski. We would have appreciated more upfront info on this and very probably would not have chosen this property because of this rule.

Amazing Family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and will absolutely be back. The house was clean and tidy and well stocked with everything we needed! So much space for the kids to enjoy with plenty of time spent having fun in the water! It is worth noting that if you are coming with a boat come prepared to anchor this away from the jetty, the handy information provided when we arrived mentioned the owner’s preference to use the jetty for drop off/pick ups only.

Perfect tarawera stay!

Our fav Bach in tarawera! Love the lake front, Bach vibe and sleep out set up. Has everything you could want! The Robinsons were great to communicate with - super prompt. Had a a lovely weekend away! Hope to be back soon.

Wonderful and peaceful

The property is right on the lake, with jetty and little beach. The view is amazing, even from inside. We been lucky with weather so that helped even more, but yeah, we would have loved to spend all the 2020/21 lockdowns there! Well furnished and with all is needed. Very easy communication with host. Found a little bit strange that beddings and towels are not provided. Also there is no wifi and phone connection is not great, which might be perfect if you want to isolate otherwise you need a lot of patience and luck to find signal. About 30min drive to Rotorua.

Perfect for Family Wedding occasion

We rented this Bach for family members to stay in while attending a family wedding. The close proximity to our Bach made it the perfect place for them to be based at. They enjoyed the Bach’s lake front location and the comfortable layout of the Bach for a group of adults to stay out. The big deck was well used as the weather was superb.

Accommodation for family wedding

I booked "absolute lake front" at Tarawera as accommodation for family members attending my niece's wedding, and various family functions at Tarawera. The location was ideal being a couple of km's from the venue and my sister's house. The house was perfect for our needs. I failed to note the need to bring linen, which was impractical as we were coming from Australia. I borrowed some towels and we used some sheets at the suggestion of the owner. It all worked out very well.
