The wooden floor is beautiful, but it felt a little greasy. I'm not sure if it's from the cleaning or care product used on the wood, but as someone who likes to walk barefoot, I could really feel it. On the last day, I also found a couple of insects in the main room, though fortunately they weren't anything dangerous.The view of the lake is amazing and very relaxing. However, it looks very different from the photos. The drought has significantly lowered the water level.Overall, the cabin is very cozy and spacious, with everything you need for your vacation. The hosts are very kind and respond promptly.

Working Retreat!

My company had a three week project in Redding and thought this retreat would be a great opportunity for the men to stay instead of typical hotel rooms for 3 weeks. My installers really enjoyed the space, home cooking and relaxing on the porch! A little fishing at the lake in the evening! Everything was outstanding, the home, the condition of everything and the hosts Dave and Lori! Would not hesitate to book this great retreat again. Thank You!

Beautiful house

This house is absolutely beautiful. It is a little dated as others have stated, but it adds to the charm. Plenty of room for everybody in our group. Very quick walk down to the lake and we enjoyed the kayaks out on the lake for multiple days. Having satellite TV was a huge plus for my family who loves sports. They even left us a bottle of margarita as a welcoming gift. I would definitely recommend this house. You won’t be sorry.

You will not be disappointed

Stayed here for 15 days. With the water up so far this year you could not be closer. The home needs updated baths and kitchen but we knew that going in, no surprises. Level into the home, once you drive down the driveway, 3 bedrooms on main level which is great for those who cant deal with stairs. 2 other bedrooms upstairs that can get warm but a supplies air conditioner and fans helped manage the heat. We were able to store our SeaDoo in the water with our own buoy which was fun. We opted to rent a slip at the dock that was an easy walk from the home. Owners were amazingly attentive and I cant wait to see how they spruce it up over the off season

Nice place on the lake

House has a great view of the lake and is conveniently located. As others have stated, house is dated, but very well kept. Was immaculate upon our arrival. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. They include a well thought out welcome basket with your stay. Most of our time was spent on the lake, so we didn't enjoy many of the amenities that are available with your stay. Overall, a good experience and wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again.

comfortable and great amenities

Love being walking distance to the water. With the large deck we can enjoy the great views and have easy access to the water. This year we anchored the boat off shore so were able to play on the shoreline while having easy access to the boat, music, etc. Just hope the marina w/gas comes back soon!

A functional property

The interior was clean, comfortable and spacious. Attention should be paid to the rollaway bed downstairs. The cloth that supports the mattress has come loose from the springs that connect it to the frame in some places. And the frame is quite wobbly. The exterior needs some work. The deck surface was muddy and deck furniture was dirty. There is a large, blackened stump in the yard, next to the hot tub.

Loved the location of the property. Even though the lake is only 30% full, the view was still amazing. The house is slightly older but well kept. The host was responsive to all our inquiries. You could walk down to the lake, which was super convenient. Our little pup had a great time, along with our teenage boys. We had a Tesla Model 3, so we were not able to adjust the suspension to get down to the driveway but if you have a X or S, it might be ok. The nearest Tesla Supercharger is 30 minutes away in Mount Shasta, so keep that in mind.

Vacation 4/2022

Beautiful and peaceful place.. we stayed there for 3 nights at retreat #3, my mistake was not booking for the whole week. Windy and cold in spring but the house is very cozy. Our destinations are driving distances away.. i was worried about lake levels but we got to do what we wanted to do like kayaking.. backyard have an access to walk to the lake and that was pretty cool.

Cozy Family Getaway for the Holidays

The house is beautiful! Great view, right next to the lake. We stayed in the winter during the holiday season and loved looking out and seeing the snow-covered mountains and trees. The house was clean and well maintained. The owners were kind, helpful, and communicated often. We have a large family so it was nice getting to spend the holidays relaxing under the same roof. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Home in the Beauty of the Shasta Moutains

This home had everything described. Tons of a room for a large family and surrounded by nature. Home was clean and had all of the amenities you would expect from a vacation rental. Had a couple of questions and owner responded immediately. Had a wonderful time!

The owner couldn’t have been any better at setting expectations! We knew exactly what to expect and because of that, we had a great time even with the low lake level. The home is comfortable but the deck is where lifelong memories were made. We can’t wait to go back!
