Lampasas' only grain silo cabin. Close to 3 State Parks and Spider Mountain

Our vintage grain silo is so unique and cozy that you will be back for years to come. Come enjoy this country secret for a girl's weekend, share some wine from the 2 local wineries or hike any of the 3 nearby state parks. There is also mountain biking nearby at Spider Mountain. Upstairs in the loft you will find a glorious queen bed to rest your head as well as a cute and comfy reading nook. Downstairs is a queen murphy bed that is very comfy and unique. There is a coffee nook with several ways to get your caffeine. The bathroom comes complete with a towel warmer and all the toiletries you need. The silo is very unique with all of its stained-glass windows and vintage Egyptian front door. It also boasts custom handmade coffee cups and stained-glass succulents throughout. There is no television available in the silo, but Wi-Fi is. Our other listings have TV, but we are trying something different here. Spend your time outside counting stars and making wishes.

My daughter was married at her fiancé's aunt and uncles ranch in Lometa. I rented this cute place for the bridesmaids the night before the wedding and the newly weds the night of the wedding. EVERYONE loved it. The girls cleaned it up and decorated for the couple the following night. Although I never stepped foot on or in the property, all the people that I rented it for LOVED it and spoke about how "perfect" it was. Thank you for taking such pride in your property. It really shows!

Not only is the drive TO this cabin peaceful, the immediate area is exactly what we wanted. Local and well-mannered domestic wildlife visited. We loved the thoughtfulness put into the layout for optimum views (in and outside). 10/10 Unique design was the deal maker between other cabins I had been looking at. Well done!

My husband and I traveled to the area on a whim. It was a last minute anniversary trip and this location did not disappoint. The silo is absolutely stunning! You can see how much love and time they put into this place. The property is beautiful. It’s so quiet and cozy, the best location to enjoy coffee and a book. There is not a TV and at first we were a little weird about it but I am so glad! We spent time really unplugging, laughing and playing some of the games they have available. This location is so close to town. We had a delicious breakfast at a local cafe and explored the town square. We wished we had stayed another day! This was a trip for the book and are so thankful to have stayed here. The photos don’t do it justice. The silo was truly breathtaking.

Friends meet half way

Peaceful Weekend

We were in the area for bluebonnet hunts! This was the perfect spot between Lampasas and Burnet. Lots of neat things in the area. Several state parks in the area.The VRBO was so unique with so much attention to detail. We stayed with our teens and it had plenty of space. No microwave but it was fine just wanted to give other people advance notice! We enjoyed it very much and would definitely stay here again if in the area!

Grain Silo Stay

This property is very unique and we loved every little detail of the design. It sits away from town and is very quiet and lovely. We even had sheep roaming around. The bed in the loft is very comfortable and the home had everything we needed and more, including a bath towel warmer. The host was prompt to answer a question. Our weekend was perfect. I highly recommend this property for a unique getaway.

Great rental! Very happy with our stay!

To start, this is a great place to stay. You’re close enough to town, but far enough away to enjoy the quiet and decompress. We were surprised with how close it is to the road 
 literally on the left as soon as you enter the property. BUT - road noise was virtually nonexistent. Let’s talk about the silo. These are things I want to know before booking a rental, so here goes. Enjoy. Living Room: spacious, comfortable couch, 2 accent chairs, Murphy bed, plenty of electrical outlets. Kitchen: equipped with a couple saucepans and a couple sautĂ© pans, silverware, cooking utensils, can opener, knives, coffee mugs/drinking glasses/wine glasses, 4 plates/4 bowls, small cutting board, Kuerig (with pods), French press, percolator, 2-burner stovetop, convection oven, 3/4-size fridge (plenty of room-both freezer and fridge), and a small sink. Good water pressure in the sink. It’s tiny. Washing dishes can get tricky but it’s totally doable. The kitchen also has dish soap, hand soap, paper towels, and kitchen towels. Bathroom: equipped with hair dryer, toilet paper, towels (there’s a towel warmer), shampoo/conditioner, body wash 
 but let’s talk about the shower water pressure. It’s not great. Personally, I’m a stickler for water pressure. It does the trick, it’ll just take a little longer. Hot water - no issues here. Bedroom: comfortable bed, enough bedding/pillows, side tables with lamps, electrical outlets on both sides - no complaints at all here. Outside: a couple of chair

“Honeymoon”

After our wedding and the stress of putting it all together this little getaway was exactly the place we needed. Gorgeous inside and out and Kent was super personable very responsive and couldn’t have asked for a better host. If you’re looking for an out of town getaway but close enough to run and grab something this little grain silo is where you want to be.

Great weekend getaway

My girlfriend & I needed a place for the weekend to checkout the State parks and there couldn’t have been a better place than the silo. We had all the amenities we needed for our stay and the location was perfect. Close to town and also near Colorado bend state park. The inside of the silo is even better than the pictures and the property it is on felt very safe and secluded. Great place for memories to be made.

So much of me hates to give an amazing review because we want this place all to ourselves L O L. But I must say this place was amazing. What a great job building this silo the owner did. Not to mention the host was amazing as well. It is a must stay, especially with the amount of hiking trails and wineries nearby.

The silo was perfect for our anniversary getaway! We had all the necessities available. The kitchen does have a 2 burner cooktop if you are wanting to make a meal. The location is about 45 min from Colorado Bend State Park - the park is amazing!! Kent was very helpful and quick to respond to any messages.

2 adults and 2 kids staying in Lampasas to visit the nearby state parks. Fantastic property, really comfortable and very well designed with beautiful interior. We loved going out to watch the stars when it got dark. Very well located - close to Lampasas for dinner and groceries, easy distance to excellent state parks.

Fun Family Weekend Get Away in the Hillcountry

Initially we had reservations to camp at Colorado Bend State Park....but the weather looked ominous so we pivoted...and it couldn't have gone better. The Silo Cabin is a lovely place out in the middle of the gorgeous hillcountry. The checkin process was seamles and the cabin well appointed. It was a unique experience and the Silo is so relaxing. A sweet little spot for a family get away. Close to the State Park and resturants, the host provided the perfect details about the area. Clean, cozy and comfortable. I highly recommend this stay.
