Upon arrival, we were stuck at gate security for 45 minutes while they tried to validate our reservation. Despite being able to converse in Spanish, showing them the reservation confirmation many times to multiple people, and our identification, they still could not find our reservation. Finally, they sent us back to guest services. Once there, the woman dealing with us was incredibly sick. My husband and I both ended up with covid, and the timing lines up with our interaction with her. She was coughing and sneezing everywhere. At guest services, we spent another hour with them trying to find our reservation. I called Vrbo for support, and was thankful to have them involved in the process because they were actually helpful. Finally, they claimed they found the reservation, but the unit we booked was not available, so they put us in a different one. The unit was nice and comparable to the one we originally booked, but not the same. The property is beautiful, and the unit we ended up with was as well, but it was not worth the hassle of getting checked in. After paying a lot of money to stay here, you expect to be welcomed, not like you don't belong there. We would not stay here again.
