Beautiful apartment, between sea and mountain, nicely decorated and spacious, located on the first floor of a residential building (3 floors) with direct access to the beach from the corner. Enjoy the large terrace to eat, relax and enjoy the occasional porpoise that dance off. You will also enjoy the beautiful sunsets, the future stars of football practicing on the beach and if you are early morning, the famous seine fishing scene. Let try and give them a little help, you will be rewarded. From your room, enjoy the refreshing breeze coming down from the peaks of Carbet. Do not forget your sandals to cross the beach because it heats 9:30 am. Evening stroll between small shy crabs and enjoy a cocktail night in bars and restaurants from the beach.

Wonderful view of Pelican Beach

Second floor apartment with a large balcony next to and overlooking Pelican Beach. The balcony contains a 6ft long sitting couch and table and chairs for 6 people. The apartment sits next to a bakery and the smell in the morning is incredible. The two bedrooms have very good air conditioning. The living room has another 6ft long rugged couch with a pull out single bed. We ate all our meals in the apartment, the kitchen was adequately stocked ( could have used a larger cutting board, a few large cutting knieves and potato masher though). The best part of this apartment is the balcony with its expansive view of the beach and ocean . You can see fishermen bringing in their catch in the morning and a dozen or more pelicans surrounding them in hopes of catching an unwanted fish. You can see cruise ships leaving port in Fort de France around 6:30 in the evening. The beach is good for swimming but lacks shade close to the water edge. We had a delightful two week stay in Francoise Duffys' apartment.

Lovely stay and superb view / Séjour agréable et vue magnifique

En français ci-bas. My husband and I had a lovely one-week stay. The appartment is as described, pretty, spacious, and well-equiped. We adored the large, intimate patio that offers a superb view of the Caribbean sea. The reserved parking space is a plus in that area. It is a good location to visit the north of the island : the mountains, Saint-Pierre, le PrĂȘcheur... And, when returning from our excursions, it was great to come back to the appartment and simply walk across the garden to jump into the sea! As mentioned in other comments, the 'Le Coin' beach is animated, especially on weekends and holidays. Evenings and nights are quiet, so one sleeps well. However, the noise of trafic and of the bakery make it difficult to sleep in... but allowed us to appreciate the calmness of the seaside mornings, as well as fresh bread! Thanks to Françoise and to Mrs Saliber for their kindness; communicating with them was easy. A special thanks to Mrs Saliber for her punctuality when we arrived and when we left. We recommend this rental and would love to return. Mon mari et moi avons fait un trĂšs agrĂ©able sĂ©jour d'une semaine. L'appartement est joli, spacieux, bien Ă©quipĂ© et conforme Ă  la description. Nous avons adorĂ© la terrasse, grande, intime, avec une vue superbe sur la mer. L'espace de stationnement rĂ©servĂ© est apprĂ©ciable dans ce secteur. C'est un trĂšs bon endroit pour visiter le nord de l'Ăźle : les montagnes, Saint-Pierre, le PrĂȘcheur... Et, au retour des nos excursions, quel bonheur de revenir Ă  l'appartement et de simplement traverser le jardin pour aller se baigner dans la mer. Tel que mentionnĂ© dans les autres commentaires, la plage du Coin est animĂ©e, surtout les fins de semaine et les jours fĂ©riĂ©s. Les soirĂ©es et les nuits sont calmes, alors on dort bien. Par contre, les bruits de la circulation et de la boulangerie font en sorte qu'on se lĂšve tĂŽt... ce qui permet d'apprĂ©cier les matins tranquilles cĂŽtĂ© plage et le bon pain frais! Merci Ă  Françoise et Ă  Mme Saliber pour leur gentillesse et la facilitĂ© avec laquelle on peut communiquer avec elles. Merci aussi Ă  Mme Saliber pour sa ponctualitĂ© lors de notre arrivĂ©e et de notre dĂ©part. Nous recommandons cette location et aimerions y retourner.

Perfect Island Getaway!

Great location right on the beach adjacent to a wonderful pastry shop and restaurants. The place was nicely decorated and had all the features we wanted. The place has off street gated parking. Electric hot water is a bonus too for larger groups. Françoise was very accommodating to our travel times and speaks very good English. We will be returning to this paradise next year.

Appartement au top pour un sĂ©jour au Carbet. Il dispose d’une grande terrasse avec vue sur mer. AccĂšs direct Ă  la plage. Restaurants Ă  proximitĂ©, boulangerie aux pieds de la rĂ©sidence. L’hĂŽte est trĂšs gentille et trĂšs disponible. Elle nous a bien guidĂ©e lors de notre arrivĂ©e. Allez y les yeux fermĂ©s. Je recommande vivement !

Une semaine au carbet

Super appartement avec une terrasse extraordinaire, tres grande ; la mer en sortant de cet appartement, et face à la terrasse,donc le bruit des vagues tt le temps ce qui est bien plaisant. à l'ombre,sous les palmiers. Appartement bien agencé, on vit (voire on dort!) sur la terrasse. Un petit transat pour lire sur cette fabuleuse terrasse serait bienvenu. Emplacement ideal pour découvrir le nord de l'ßle.

TrĂšs bonne situation

L'appartement est idéalement placé à l'entrée du Carbet, facile d'accÚs, parking fermé et plage à 50m. La clim fonctionne bien et c'est nécessaire en été ! L'appartement était propre mais il aurait besoin d'un rafraichissement de peinture et de reprendre un peu la salle de bain et la cuisine. Les canapés sont peu confortables également. Bonne réactivité de réponse de la propriétaire et de la personne en charge de la location qui nous a fait réparer un robinet défectueux en 24h. Bref, c'est pas luxueux mais le reste est trÚs bien.

Perfect Location and very nice flat

The flat is situated on a perfect location. Next to the house is a bakery, the beach opposite the flat, a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The flat was very clean with everything you need. For the air conditioning in bedrooms we were very happy and the wifi worked perfectly. the secured parking was also a plus, so you never had to look for a parking space in the evening. We can highly recommend the flat and would book it again should we be in Carbet. thanks for letting us be your guests!
