Location was excellent easy to reach from the train station and steps away from the center of town. Le Puy is a wonderful medieval city that offers spectacular monuments. I recommend the Demi-pension at the hotel as the restaurant quality and service was above average. I only wish the WiFi service was more consistent.

A tired hotel
Posted Aug. 9, 2019 on HotelsThe hotel was convenient to the station and about 5 minutes walk from the old part of town. The welcome was friendly, the access to the room was through a courtyard that was rather untidy from fallen leaves.
The stair carpet was very worn. The room was adequate, the bath had hair left by the last guest and the shower hose was operational but broken. Breakfast was adequate - I saw only one choice of cheese on the cheese plate and the coffee machine gave hot chocolate when the cappuccino button was pressed.

A good start to lovely walk
Posted May 26, 2019 on HotelsThis was the start of a walk from Le Puy to Conques, which forms part of the Camino pilgrimage trail that goes all the way to Santiago de Compostela in north west Spain.
Our stay was very pleasant, and the Hotel Bristol looked after us well, catered for us as vegetarians without any bother (being vegetarian is so often a problem in France) and is very good value for money. Recommended.

This hotel has a major problem. Wandering street gangs outside our window were noisy and rowdy for most of the night and city centre traffic was very noisy. The hotel parking advertised did not exist. We had to park some way away and we were apprehensive all night and left very early. We cannot recommend this hotel.

Loved le puy
Posted Jun. 8, 2017 on HotelsGreat location, near th bus station and close to cultural sites. Quiet hotel. Wish that at least one person on staff speak some English. For a tourist town, shocked to see no one spoke a word of English or other language.

Great option for train travellers
Posted Jul. 29, 2016 on HotelsExcellent location for travellers arriving by train. Easy walk into old city and for sightseeing. Good value for meals and bar service. Staff were friendly and efficient with service levels consistent with previous visits.
