was noisy at night with highway trucks one side and railway on other....BUT...this was a great experience for us who have never experienced this..try it out..it is not as bad as it sounds...we slept well

Would not stay again

If you do not mind listening to the people in the unit next door or their music/TV at night, and are keen to wear the ear plugs the motel provides, do not stay here. We actually left that night, knowing we would not get a decent night sleep. A heater was provided but took sometime to warm up the room, with no double glazing or insulation it was very cold.

A standard Kiwi motel conveniently situated on SH1 it does suffer a bit from road noise. Price reflected that However.

Clean and spacious

Spacious room. Much more noisy than I realized- some traffic noise but the trains roar by every 2-3 hours ( or feels like it as it was difficult to keep a track of the regularity through the night) so very disrupted sleep!
