Located in the historic village of Middleham, Fox Cottage is an ideally situated delightful, single storey property surrounded by pretty gardens that will inspire gardeners in all seasons. With magnificent far-reaching countryside views, this hideaway is just a stone's throw from picturesque Coverdale - perfect for walks with your four legged friend.
Upon entering the property, the hallway leads to all rooms. A modern and spacious kitchen with breakfast bar and stools is the perfect perch to sit and entertain the nominated chef. This leads through to the sunny conservatory where you can unwind and enjoy the evening sun or a lazy breakfast â the views from here are stunning, and dogs love this warm, relaxing room too! The light sitting room offers plenty of comfy seating plus a cosy open fire for chillier evenings. A separate dining room overlooks the verdant garden with french doors opening out to the raised balcony. Two good size bedrooms (a king-size bed and a twin) are both comfortable and stylishly decorated.
Outside, the garden is a real joy with lovely flower borders and many different trees and shrubs. The sunny seating area is ideal for al fresco dining, and the balcony boasts beautiful, far reaching views. There are steep steps in the garden which are not suitable for children or those with limited mobility.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Dog bowls, dog towels, and a medium dog crate is provided. Pillows and duvets are synthetic. Children over the age of 8 years and infants under 12 months are welcome. However no equipment is provided.
Overall nice cottage. Bedrooms needed a deeper clean as behind the single beds there was evidence of lots of dust. The wardrobes smelled musty.
The living room sofa covers needed a wash and were obv stained. One chair in particular smelt of sweat.
Kitchen was well equipped although could have done with a new frying pan.
This is a nice cottage but needs a bit deeper cleaning attention.
