The staff was kind and friendly - no problems there. The place and room itself - floors were damp and dirty - holes in the ceiling - smelled moldy and musky- I could not check out fast enough. The beaches now were awesome!

The location is fantastic-right on the beach, quick free ride to shops and restaurants. The overall property is great, nice pool, bar, restaurant. Plenty of room towels, and beach towels provided. Free lounge chairs and beach chairs. Free water bottles continuously available. Comfortable mattresses. On the downside, the rooms were very old- rotting wood on doorframes, stained, worn away bathroom counters, etc. The pros and affordability outweighed the room conditions for us.

We loved being right on the beach and enjoyed the sunsets. Bathrooms and rooms could use some updating. Staff was very nice.

This was my 4th year vacationing at the sandcastle resort. We love the atmosphere staff is always friendly and helpful. We saw a lot of improvements this year. Sad that they are planning on tearing down. It has so much history and us very affordable for a middle class person to stay at the beach

The place is falling apart. Our first room had a toilet that ran all night and a tv that was facing the floor. The AC handler was so loud we couldn’t sleep. They changed our room. The faucets in bathroom and shower were so hard to pull on that I almost crashed into the wall when they finally opened.. but the WORST thing that happened was a fall off the bed!! Queen mattress on a twin frame!!! And when we complained to the manager her reply was … NO ONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM!!!! As the maintenance man was in our room changing out the bed frames. Will never stay there again!!

Great location, tired property that needs lots of updates. But if you’re looking for value right on lido beach then this fits the bill … if they fixed this place up to its full potential it would be twice the price.
