This is a basic hotel which will meet most needs for a short stay in the city. Very close to the metro and walking distance to many of the sites.

We arrived in the evening a lot of migrants around the hotel and a lot of graffiti on buildings. We went out for a meal but not a lot of choice. Hotel very basic but clean and safe. Next morning totally different still migrants around but a lot of locals going to work and school large Market nearby and Metro next to hotel which was very easy to use hotel car park under ground and Staff were excellent

The staff were great and the hotel was good. The parking is in a secure underground location but access to it is very limited if like us, your vehicle has low ground clearance - I now need a new front lower valance. Also the little square outside seems to be frequented by local undesirables - we were greeted by them having a fight which included throwing bottles at each other as well as fists. Although not strictly the hotels fault or responsibility but cctv or other security measures may help.

The hotel was ok. small room with small shower. No soap in the shower. No kettle and tea provided. The cleanliness was ok and staff at the counter was helpful. Outside the hotel was very dirty and smelly. Something the management should work on.

Nice hotel on the outskirts of town

The room was basic but suited us well. The staff were friendly, with excellent English and the room was cleaned daily to a high standard. The hotel is right next to the Metro station, the only downside to this being you can hear the escalator constantly from the room above, though we did get used to it. The market is right on the doorstep on a Sunday (and I think a Thursday), so was lovely for a walk around. It is about a 30 minute walk to the centre and less than 5 mins to lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel

Have stayed in this hotel several times, always friendly helpful staff. The secure parking although an extra cost is extremely useful. Hotel is adjacent to the metro which is great for getting to the centre but we have frequently walked as it is not really too far. The local market is only 5 minutes walk and well worth visiting. Also highly recommend the bakery Maes directly opposite Best Hotel.

Awful location, tiny rooms (shower so small that it was very hard to wash one’s feet!), some of staff not helpful / friendly, on-street parking very hard. But it was pretty cheap. Best avoid the breakfast too.

Affordable accomodation for a stay in Lille.

The hotel is convenient for most of Lille. Right outside is a city bike hire station and a Metro station is just to the left of the entrance. You find that a 20-40 minute walk will bring you to all you may wish to see or visit. It isn't located in the most salubrious part of Lille, though I didn't feel perturbed or threatend when returning quite late in the evening. All in all a good base for a stay in a vibrant city. Is a two star rated hotel so basic in general, but comfortable. The shower cubicles are on the small size but more than adequate. The extra you pay for the buffet breakfast is a good start to the day and has a varied selection of choices.

Basic Hotel modern rooms & freindly helpful staff

This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Hotel. It is a basic Hotel but nice and clean with modern rooms and freindly helpful staff. The area isn't that great but the metro is just outside the door so not a problem if you get back to the Hotel later in the evening. I have had a good experience on both occations at this Hotel. There is a nice Market just across the road on a Sunday.
