Bad gym

Although the staff is smiling and welcoming, I would not recommend that hotel for the following reasons. There was not water one day and I went to work without shaving and taking a shower. I selected that hotel because there is a gym and I found a gym not maintained, some equipment was broken or not working and most benches are unstable, which is very dangerous while handling weights. After four days, I moved to Sunbird Capital and I found a much more comfortable hotel for the same rate and with a nice well-maintained and better equipped gym. Pity for Crossroads Hotel, because I am staying in Lilongwe for the next 10 months.

Here, at Crossroads Hotel, the team and I always strive to exceed the expectations of our valued guest. Unfortunately our facilities let you down and we sorry for any inconveniences caused. However, management has in plan to renovate the gym as currently the hotel is undergoing refurbishment phases. We hope the experience has not totally marred your thoughts about us. ok for a short stay in Lilongwe

Whilst the hotel looks nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, everal improvements need to be made to justify 100USD per night. No hot water, no coffee or tea with the coffee & teamaking facilities, no ashtray in smoking room, no instructions for the safe, impossible to get the shampoo out of the little bottles (for a cold shower), random mix of different plugpoint standards with no adaptors, very expensive airport shuttle, ... The breakfast was very good !

However we apologise that we did not meet your requirements in room amenities and other facilities. Our management has improved in all areas mentioned. Bien que j'aie réglé le montant total (toutes taxes comprises) de mon séjour auprès de hotels.com, et j'en avais la confirmation , on m'a demandé lors du check-out de payer une taxe supplémentaire de 1% sur le montant du séjour !! Personne n'a pu m'expliquer d'où venait cette charge ridicule...

Lovely staff and clean, spacious room

The staff were lovely - everyone is very welcoming and the service is great. Breakfast had fresh fruit and an omelette station everyday. I didn't have time to use the pool but it looked quite nice. Had a tasty meal at the restaurant attached, The Copper Pot, where I also had great service.

I was in Lilongwe for one week. I am glad that I only booked this hotel for two nights. The only good thing good about this hotel is the location and the staff. The rooms are dated. It looks like grandmothers bedroom. Which was not a dealbreaker. The the Wi-Fi sucks. You can almost say that it really is nonexistent. The staff tried to resolve the situation and it really did not help. The dealbreaker breaker for me was found out that YouTube is blocked. I usually exercise to videos on YouTube in the morning. So this hotel wants to give you horrible Wi-Fi service and and censor of what you watch. I was out.

We had a great stay here for a few nights with our toddler after a long flight from UK. The room was beautiful and well presented, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The swimming pool was lovely and very child-friendly with a separate shallow pool. Only a few complaints - there were no mosquito nets, only peaceful sleep tabs, which were ok but not as effective as nets, and the external fire doors were locked at night. We had a slight confusion with payment at the end but this was quickly and professionally resolved by the manager. Would definitely recommend this place to other travellers especially families, and will be staying there again on our way back from Malawi

Every support and service was good! It was very convenient to have stores nearby. Wifi can be better, and I saw a cockroach several times.
