There was alot of black mold in the shower area,i would not book a tour with this hotel , outside of that everything was fine.Nice grounds very nice furniture pleasent staff.Great pool.

The experience was great. All the staff did a great job. Special mention to the Manger Ruth, who was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable one. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She has been the best hostess we have ever encountered on our travels. The owners of this hotel should be very grateful to have someone like Ruth managing it. A lovely oasis in the middle of an enchanting istorical city. The staff were as friendly and helpful as could be wished. If we had to find fault, it would be that the clenliness is not prestine.

Hidden Villa in Lisbon

A lovely hotel with a small garden area and plunge pool, a little oasis in the middle of Lisbon. Loved our panoramic terrace room, with views over the rooftops to the castle. Very friendly and helpful staff, including Diogo, Ruth and Uran. Lovely breakfasts, including eggs cooked to order. Great restaurant recommendations from the staff especially Ruth. 😊

Casa Balthazar was an absolutely stunning property. We upgraded to the jacuzzi suite, and it was worth every penny- the view is spectacular. The room is comfortable, well maintained and a perfect size. Breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, pastries, juice and coffee made just how you like it. Small hotel so very quiet, well maintained with a ton of unique spaces- spa/gym, pool area, sitting areas, not to mention the wonderful staff. It is uphill from Rossio square, but only takes 2 minutes to walk- super convenient location with easy access to everything you want to see in Lisbon. Loved it and will look forward to coming back.

Casa Balthazar exceeded expectations! Rooms are large and beds are very comfortable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The building is a historical house and each room is unique. The property is associated with an old bakery and the breakfast is excellent. Would absolutely stay here again!!!

Wonderful July stay

We had an amazing stay at Casa Balthazar for a 40th birthday get away together. The place was stunning and ability to book the spa out was a wonderful experience. Food was excellent - and they were able to cater to my gluten free dietary requirements (just make sure to give advance notice when booking). The service and all the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was located perfectly central for exploring the beautiful city of Lisbon. Hope to return soon. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

The location is perfect to provide an oasis in the middle of everything you want to do in the city. Site seeing, shopping, dining…. All in easy reach. The staff is so accommodating and respectful. A hidden gem boutique hotel in the middle of the Barrio Alto neighborhood. A calm, soothing, quiet spot in the center of a bustling area. Beautiful "home" was turned into an amazing hotel. The staff made us feel special. Can't recommend it enough. We will be back.
