Enjoy the Litchfield Hills from this newly renovated one bedroom apartment with private entrance. Amenities include full kitchen, living room, bedroom with queen bed, and full en suite bathroom. WiFi and cable TV included. All located less than 2 miles from historic Litchfield Center. Our property borders on the White Memorial Foundation nature preserve, with over 40 miles of hiking trails. Mohawk Mountain Ski area in Cornwall and Ski Sundown in New Hartford are only a short drive away.

Located in the town of Litchfield, the Hideway offers a comfortable place from which you can explore all that Litchfield County has to offer. Here you will find great restaurants, vineyards, shopping, antiques and galleries, all in the beautiful town of Litchfield. The surrounding countryside offers the outdoor enthusiast access to local lakes, rivers, trails and ski areas. Steeped in Colonial history, Litchfield's historic attractions include the picturesque Village Green, First Congregational Church, Tapping Reeve Law School (first in the United States and attended by Aaron Burr and John C. Calhoun), and the home of Oliver Wolcott, signer of the Declaration of Independence. Located close to area private schools and event venues, this is the perfect place to stay when visiting town for weddings and school events.

I was running a local road race, and stayed here so I wouldn't have to drive home afterwards. I would definitely stay here again. The owners were very responsive to all of my messages and very welcoming. Neat and clean, cozy little space that was perfect for my girlfriend and I.

A wonderful, comfortable, clean, quiet spot, minutes from Litchfield but hidden in a spot that is both convenient to the area but very private. Outstanding communication with the owner from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Lovely, cozy spot

This property is wonderful and has friendly and helpful owners. Very quiet and peaceful and tucked in the trees. It is very spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. Loads of hiking and outdoor opportunities just minutes away, as well as wineries and restaurants. The pizza at the attached shop was good as well—a nice bonus!

Litchfield wedding

I was in town for the weekend to attend a college friend’s daughter’ wedding. The Hideaway was convenient to all of the wedding venues in town. Clean, spacious and comfy. I was delighted to discover that I was right next door to the White Memorial Forest with hiking and biking trails. Would love to go back for a longer stay. Rick was a fantastic host.
