Room was lovely but mattress was cheap and would benefit from replacing. Excellent spot to stay with lots of cool bars only a short walk away. Breakfast was also lovely. Lift could do with cleaning and there is a funny smell in the stairway too. Staff were friendly and welcoming

I stayed for two nights in late October. I had requested a room on a lower floor but was given one on the top floor. The (only) elevator was “Out of order” for the duration of our stay. Each day I was informed that it was going to be repaired tomorrow. It wasn’t. There were approximately 90 stairs to our bedroom. There was no heating working in the room. There was a vent stuck open in one of the windows with a constant breeze coming in. I used two cushions to block it. The TV in the room was faulty. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly.

No urgency to repair the hotel’s only lift.

The location was great, very close to Lime Street station and easy to find. The breakfast was lovely. The bed was comfy but unfortunately I didn’t have a good night's sleep as the window didn’t shut properly and so as well as hearing noisy drunken people outside, the window kept making noises as it was moved by the wind.

Our booking was for my family — my mum, dad, and two daughters. When we arrived, we were told the lift wasn’t working but were assured it might be fixed later that day or the next. Unfortunately, my mum has mobility issues and couldn’t manage the stairs to the first-floor room we were allocated, so my dad had to take her back home. On the morning of checkout, my dad spoke with the “manager” to ask whether any reimbursement could be offered for my mum being unable to stay for two nights due to the lift being out of order. The manager’s response was simply that it was “out of their control.” From her body language and attitude, it was clear she wasn’t particularly interested in addressing the issue. I’d suggest that, in future, if the lift is not working, the hotel should inform guests in advance — especially those who may have mobility needs — so alternative arrangements can be made. As for the stay itself, the breakfast was quite basic with limited options for my daughters, and the rooms were just average. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel confirmed coeliac disease could be catered for via email but website failed to mention the restaurant wasn’t open during our midweek stay. Neither was this mentioned at check in. My daughter was having ankle surgery so unable to leave the hotel for two nights which is why we booked a hotel that catered for dietary requirements. The WiFi was also unreliable and two days stuck at the hotel being unable to connect streaming to the tv was also a pain. Had I known we couldn’t eat at the hotel I wouldn’t have booked it. On checkout and asking for the complaints procedure reception went for the manager. The manager said sorry and that was it. No offer of partial refund or reduced future stay. Just sorry. They were unaware their website didn’t advise that the restaurant was only open from Thursdays. Unacceptable for a city centre hotel not to provide a restaurant service.

The staff were often not available, and at times not eager to help. Breakfast on here says from 7 :00 but it's actually from 7:30, which wasn't ideal for my morning. The room was clean and nicely kept, and breakfast was delicious, the service however, disappoint me somewhat

Breakfast over 50 minutes wait only 6 off us in the dinning area .i had to request more orange juice .tea .bread breakfast came .ate hot and hash browns rest was cold .bedroom clean .no blind on bathroom window which you can see from the outside silhouette of ppl .extractor fan not working.cant put make up on seating on chair as not higher enough. Only one chair in room for 2 guests .key catd had to be redone 3 times .on checkout staff not even said hope you had a nice stay .ignored .

We arrived early for our check in because our train arrived earlier than check in. We were surprised and a bit irritated to be charged 20 extra pounds for early check in. We travel a fair bit and have never experienced this. If we chose not to pay, they had no option to leave our luggage. That was the ONLY staff member we saw. We were in and out of the hotel several times and there was no one at reception except for our arrival. Disappointing.

We stay in Liverpool quite regularly, this was the first time staying at this hotel. First thing to note is they have no provision for bag storage so if you arrive early the only option they can give you is to direct you to a shop over the road and pay £5 for the privilege. The hotel is nicely presented and the room was ok although I did ask for a nice room as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and they put us in a disabled room ! We had a decent nights sleep considering it is close to clubs & bars. Nothing to note is if you need a disabled room then I wouldn’t rely on them coming to your aid if needed as I accidentally pulled the chord in the bathroom whilst reaching for a towel, I wasn’t sure how to stop the alarm but thought I would explain when someone came to investigate. After a while I decided to call reception who obviously weren’t aware the alarm had been activated and was told to just pull the chord again and it should stop, it didn’t. Upon entering the dining area we were informed they had an issue with the kitchen which meant they could only offer bacon, sausage & scrambled egg. We initially said that would be fine until we actually seen the offerings which were all undercooked & cold ! When we complained that the breakfast was totally unacceptable we were told that their chef hadn’t turned up for work ! If this was the case they should have offered a part refund so a breakfast could be purchased elsewhere for their guests

Breakfast wasn't good. There were technical difficulties in the kitchen both mornings I was there. Buffet option was fine but cooked choice on the second morning was limited to undercooked sausages, bacon and solid overcooked scrambled eggs. There wasn't any heating in any of our parties bedrooms. We asked for it to be turned on and a member of staff went in the lift with us supposedly to go to the third floor to do this. But none of us got heating in our rooms. Not good enough for cold chilly days in October.

Adter waiting for breakfast for nearly 50 minutes there was only me and my partner and a family of 4 it came out plate hot and the hash browns everything else lukewarm. I had to ask staff to refill orange juice .tea .more bread and butter disappointing to say the least Bedroom door squeaky and no blinds in any off the bathrooms frosted glass but you can still see silhouettes of ppl from outside and the toilet next to window aswell .extractor fan is broke full of steam to do make up room 402 .1 chair which it could fit a small table and 2 chairs by the window .booked 2 seperate nights to stay but reception didnt put a note on screen to say same guests so receptionist came up to our room to ask us wss we leaving i explained apologised and left had to change cards numerous times to enter as stopped working .
