Great stay

Great stay, hotel is in a great central position, however the main square was hosting the summer festival so there is loud music every night. Breakfast is excellent and staff all very friendly.

Excellent location, 3min walk from the river with lots of places to eat and drink. The map on here is wrong - it’s only 1.5 blocks from the river. Very clean, nice staff. Bed was extremely comfortable and room was super quiet. We had a castle view with balcony. Couldn’t fault the room at all. Service was good. Breakfast was decent although sometimes the hot food was barely warm. Would happily stay again. Let them organise a transfer to/from the airport (50€) or book a shuttle - absolutely do not get a taxi outside the airport terminal, there is a huge problem with fake taxis in the city. We followed all the advice, took one that was marked from the correct place and which had a meter… and it still cost 72€ as the meter was dodgy and they applied a 12€ “dodanek” extra. Just let the hotel sort out the transfer or pay for one separately, do not get a taxi from the rank

We enjoyed our stay. It was disappointing to have to single beds (on wheels) which drifted apart from one another, instead of the king which was booked, that should be further clarified at time of booking.The shower would also start running for a few seconds repeatedly overnight. Central location and very clean, overall positive.

Front desk needs training in kindness/patience

The rooms and hotel are clean and modern and the location was good for walking. Our room was quiet, but too small with inadequate space for toiletries or clothes for a 4 day stay. The breakfast was not worth the cost ($18/person) and twice they did not refill items during the time we were eating, so there were missing key items (e.g. eggs). The abruptness of the person who checked us in made me want to turn and leave, but the people at the bar were helpful and kind.

A great location right in the city. Lovely bar area. Nice room. Reception didn’t feel very welcoming, apart from that it was a good stay. Important to note that the Expedia maps pin is in the wrong location so we spent a time looking for the hotel in the wrong place - Occidental please update this. Not a nice experience when arriving in a new city.

Lovely in Ljubljana

What a gem! We were upgraded to a very nice room but this hotel was a wonderful place to stay for our visit. I wish the gym had a few more pieces of updated cardio equipment but I’m happy they offered a decent gym.
