What a wonderful cottage, so full of character, lovingly restored and furnished.

What a wonderful cottage, so full of character, lovingly restored and furnished. It feels like a home that has made many happy memories for many people. It's warm and very well equipped with great bedrooms, comfy beds, good shower, efficient log burner and there was the added bonus of a lovely welcome hamper waiting for us. It's very remote with just one other property nearby and the track could be extremely difficult with a low-slung car. However, if you want peace and quiet and to get away from it all, it's the perfect location.

Lovely cottage but needs a good scrub.

Lovely cottage but needs a good scrub. Dead flies in the windows and moth damage active to carpet in main bedroom. Dirty pots in the kitchen and broken items and old packet food in cupboards some years out of date. Old towels in bathroom but clean. Bedding clean and beds comfy. Access road difficult in snow but expected this. Tenant in other lodge friendly but seemed to be keeping a close eye on us! Wood burner lovely! We loved this house and location but it needs some TLC and better cleaning which is a shame. It would not put us off returning but price should reflect current state.

We went for Christmas and as it said it would be decorated we were very disappointed that the tree had lights on but they didn’t work they had no plug on them.The log fire was wonderful and the guard very useful from stopping the dogs from getting too close as they loved it 🐶. We had a close call with some sheep that wandered very close to the cottage with the dogs so it would have been helpful to have had some warning to expect them to keep appearing.
