I’ve stayed here several times always a great stay

I’ve stayed here several times now, always a great stay. I Highly recommend this hotel 100% My only mentioning for the Americans, if they’re not aware, it does not have air-conditioning like a lot of European/Swiss hotels. If you’re staying in the summer it might be a bit hot for you . But they do have a fantastic pool

Good hotel with nice views.

Good hotel, my second stay there. Clean relatively comfortable room, Nice balcony, decent breakfast, very nice pool in the summer. My only complaint there was quite a bit of mold in the shower ( why I put clean rating on OK). Definitely stay here again. There’s Also a very good Greek Takeaway just around the corner.

Outstanding hotel for the location and price

Great hotel. Ours was a last min trip as we had to drop our daughter off in the area. Hotel is not on the promenade but It’s easily accessible. Rooms was large and very clean and updated. Breakfast was great. Owner manager was very welcoming. We will certainly be going back when in the area next.

Nice base

Good spacious rooms, that are clean. Fan provided if it gets a bit warm. Minibar with space to keep some foods in it. Easy access to both Ascona and Locarno - the no 1 bus which runs near the hotel wil take you to the gateway for the Valle Verzasca. Friendly staff who are happy to help - such as ordering you a pizza when you're all walked out!! Breakfast okay - didn't use it much. Swimming pool fine for a refreshing dip after aay of adventures.

Hot...ideal depending on the temperature

It was very hot and the hotel doesn’t have air conditioning. We had one small fan that helped but a ceiling fan and or another fan would have been helpful. The pool outside was a cooling and refreshing experience given the 27+ temperature. It’s a clean hotel. Would stay again but in cooler temperatures or be better prepared for hot sleeping conditions.

Very nice hotel with excellent staff

Very nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Room very clean. The only thing is room take a bit of time to cool down at night. Very nice pool.

Garni Nessi Experience

I visited the Garni Nessi Hotel in Locarno, Switzerland from 11th-15th April, 2017. On arrival the swimming pool had no water in it but that was sorted immediately when I highlighted my son was looking forward to using the pool. I asked for extra towels and a pillow because there were 3 of us and we were given them without any problems. The room was very basic. The tv only gave access to news channels in English which was disappointing. The fridge was dirty. There were no coffee and tea making facilities which, in this day and age, is not common. There was no hairdryer either. The bath was only suitable for a child. If your are over nine stones you can forget about having a bath as it is a tight squeeze. The shower head does not point in a downward direction so it had to be held in your hands to have a shower. The staff in the dining room in the morning were always very helpful and pleasant and made the experience better. I was quoted a price of £518.00 with Expedia for the room for four nights but when I checked out and wished to pay for the room I was charged £539.18. When I queried this with the owner, he was not interested and said it was nothing to do with him and to contact the bank or Expedia. I think that when you are quoted a price in line with your budget, that is the price you should pay and that should be honoured by the hotel. You can get easy access to the main area of Locarno by a short bus ride but I wouldn't stay again.

Not for us but depends what you're looking for

Room was basic, but clean. Mini bar was a surprise bonus. No ac or a fan during 30+ temps made it quite uncomfortable. Hotel rooms are accessed from outside, motel style and hotel is located above a auto-body shop. Staff was extremely nice and when they saw us outside looking for parking the manager came out to greet and assist us immediately. Very clean room and pool looked nice. 15 min walk to town. Would be nice to have a safe in the room. 3 stars should be interpreted loosely.

Decent hotel for a good price

Considering the incredibly high prices for tourists around Locarno and Ascona this no frills hotel is like a fresh breeze. The room was comfortably sized with decent beds, mattrasses and a good bathroom. Internet coverage and speed was very good. A few cable channels were available as well. Reception staff speaks English pretty well. They were also very friendly and went out of their way to help.

Very Basic

This hotel is very very basic but it was clean and that was all we needed for a one night stopover. The manger tried to overcharge us on an upgrade away from the busy street but after that he was very helpfull

Excellent value hotel

We were here for one night only but it was a very pleasant stay.The hotel is modern and the rooms are clean and well furnished.The bed was very comfortable and we slept well.The breakfast,which was included in the price,was excellent.All the staff are friendly and speak good English.There is also a lounge and bar in the hotel.

Easy base to surrounding area

Nice, modern hotel with pleasant pool area to escape city summer heat. Room was pleasant. Staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and providing late night wine and coffee. Easy location when driving to visit Ascona, valleys and southwest side of the lake.
